Hello everyone!!

I was curious about the International Gateway (if that is what it is called) that goes from Epcot's World Showcase to I beleive the Yacht/Beach Club. If that is wrong, please let me know. :D

My question is, Can you easily walk to the Boardwalk from there, as well? :scratchin

And is Illuminations viewable from the Boardwalk?

Any help is appreciated!! :cheer2:

yes it is an easy waylk, just over the bridge to Boardwalk. nice walk, nice view. We were there during the day, so can not tell about illuminations.

The boat also goes to boardwalk but is usually slower than walking. Boardwalk is very convienent to EPCOT

Less of a walk to BW from Int. Gateway than to the Monorail in the front. Depending where you are, you can see some of the higher fireworks. Time it right, you can also see a little from Fantasmic!

Enjoy

I love this walk from the Epcot resorts to International Gateway. It is very peaceful since you are walking by the lake and knowing you are only seconds from being in Epcot.

We stayed at the Swan last May and I made that walk almost every day as we had dinner at Epcot every night but two.

I love the Boardwalk. I hope you enjoy it too!

You can see most of the high Illuminations fireworks from the bridge that the boat goes under near ESPN. But they are much better to see from inside Epcot.

We love the International Gateway! We are DVC members at the Boardwalk and we have always enjoyed walking "home" after the fireworks and music of Illuminations.

Actually, you can easily walk from Epcot, through the IG, to Beach/Yacht, or the Boardwalk, or Swan and Dolphin. You can also walk to MGM from the Boardwalk. If you have a Princess breakfast or a SEGWAY tour, you can also enter the park early through IG, but your name must be on the access list, and there is no cast member to handle the turnstiles before 8:00 am.

The best vantage point to see the fireworks is from the bridge that goes over to the Boardwalk. BUT, if you are that close, it's worth it to see them from the parks, and to experience the music that is an important part of the show.

Just outside the turnstiles is the boat dock where you can get a ride to any of the above hotels or MGM (if open). The boat takes longer but it doesn't matter if you aren't in a hurry.
