I am putting together my plans for our trip and I am looking for any Epcot Tips you have out there....We are two twentysomethings going during easter and will be visiting epcot two separate evenings and probably 1 morning too....thanks!

I don't have any secret info or anything but I'll give you the tip I give everyone...see Off Kilter at the Canadian Pavilion! ;) Make sure to catch Illuminations at the end of the day for a great fireworks show too, and if you're sticking around after closing, also check out the Boardwalk (you can walk over there from the World Showcase entrance or take the boat) and the exciting night life it has to offer.

The biggest tip I could give for Epcot is to take it sloooooowwwwwww. Experience it. Talk to the CM's from the different countries. Sample the different foods. Enjoy the different bands.

Future World is generally less busy during the afternoon and early evening. I would suggest going to WS as soon as it opens and take your time. Then head up front later in the afternoon where you can usually do most of the attractions without much wait. Test Track and Mission Space would be two exceptions. Use the single rider line for those two rides or definitely use fast pass if you want to ride together.

Have a sit down meal in one of the countries. Make it a late lunch as the menu's are basically the same for lunch and dinner and lunch is cheaper.

Have fun. Epcot is our favorite park.

Before you leave for WDW, be sure to take a look at Steve Soares' site for information on all live performances in the Walt Disney World Theme Parks: http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/

The world showcase is between 1.25 and 1.5 miles around depending on how close you stay to the lake.

Fun Photo idea: take pictures in each country pavilions wearing one of the hats they sell that represents the country.

Illuminations: Watch Illuminations from the lounge in Japan while having sushi. If you are not lucky to have a window table, just walk outside to the veranda. The only caveat is that you are the furthest place from the bus depot and have a long walk back, still enjoyable.

In Epcot, at the Italy pavilion all of the pillars are ringed with a carving of a man holding a ball out in front of him. On the fifth (or so) pillar on the left side of the courtyard, around back of the pillar... One of the men is holding a bowling ball.

The International Gateway is the prettiest entrance to EPCOT. It gives a whole different feel to the park when you enter through it. For newcomers going through the main entrance, first their general impression is "70's" or "Concrete Jungle". The difference in impression is stunning.

Lunch at Cantina (outdoor counter restaurant in Mexico)- don't get Margueritas at restaurant; there is a stand that sells just Margueritas just past the outdoor gift shop next to restaurant. Have one person get the food and the other get the drinks --get the Fiesta! Grab a table by the lake and relax.

Make a 7:30pm PS at Rose and Crown; when you get there ask for a patio seat; tell them you will wait if you have to. You'll be able to stay there and watch Illuminations.

Wait until after 3 or 4 pm to do attractions in Future World. Most guests have gone over to World Showcase by then and lines are much shorter. If long lines for Mission Space or Test Track get into the singles line if you don't mind riding separately.

Great desserts at bakery in Norway.

We always plan a morning to walk around World Showcase as soon as it opens. The shops are fun and the movies and rides in the different countries are interesting. Its starts to get crowded after lunch.

If you have the extra $$ and time do a behind the scenes tour- DH and I did Dolphins in Depth- one of best disney experiences

A friend and I ventured to Epcot for one day (a break from lounging poolside) last year during our law school spring break. We had a lof fun eating an early dinner at the counter service restaurant in Mexico and got a margarita for the evening (VERY good - and surprisingly strong). We loved having dessert in France and sitting in that outdoor area w/ I believe a mime for entertainment.

We had a great time during the day going through the countries and some of future world. We had the cutest elderly couple on Mission:Space with us. The man was the commander and the wife was on one side of him and I was on the other. He didn't understand he was supposed to push buttons and his wife kept saying "Commander...Commander...Push your button Commander." It was very cute, but we giggled about it for awhile after.

After Illuminations we waited out the crowds by going into some of the country's shops and some more stops on our way out. Our car was one of VERY few left in the parking lot by the time we got out of there.

Oh yeah, see the "Living Statue" chick around Italy. She will really spook you. Don't tell your buddy that it's a person, just let the poor unsuspecting guy/gal stand there and then jump when she moves. She actually picked an older gentleman's pocket while hugging him for a photo, it was hysterical!

Interesting things to look for at Epcot, gathered from a number of threads on these Boards.

Here are a few:

(Future World) At Coke Station, the treads of the tractor that sits there are in the shape of Coke bottles. Also one of the parts in the satellite dish.

(World Showcase) When you get to the Outback area lift the lids on the old time soda coolers. Get ready for a surprise.
