EPCOT the Week After Easter

I'm staying at the Courtyard near DD for a conference starting the day after Easter. I'm going to be there for a week and thought about purchasing an annual pass to visit EPCOT in the evening (I'd use it again for a 6 day vacation in December). This would be a good chance to visit many EPCOT attractions that my DDs don't care to see when the entire family is with me.

I'm wondering if EPCOT will be too crowded that week to make it worthwhile visiting. What do you think?

As far as I'm concerned, EPCOT is never too crowded to make it not worth a visit. (Well, maybe it was on New Year's Eve for the Millenium celebration. But I wasn't there then, so maybe it wasn't all that bad then, either. LOL). ;)

Seriously, EPCOT can handle way more people than the other parks and in my experience, always feels less crowded than the other parks. Yes, the week after Easter is peak season, but don't let that keep you away. We've always found Easter very managable and since you'll be a single, you'll only have yourself to worry about. You can see if the "single rider" option is available for test track. IMHO, that will be the only attraction that you might encounter an unacceptable wait. But if this were me, I'd be spending my time in the Art of Disney, the shops, watching the dancing fountains and in the "nooks and crannies" of the countires. I'd also be stopping to watch a lot more of the street entertainers than my family normally enjoys.

I predict you will have a wonderful time! Go for it! Enjoy!

I have been checking hotel availiabity for the weekend after Easter and everything seems open (I have not checked Disney hotels!) Based on that I don't things are as crowded as they have been in the past for Easter. Maybe the late Easter has spread out the Spring Break crowds.

Great choice. The other parks might be crowded, but Epcot will be fine. You can also escape through the International Gateway between France & England for a short stroll to the Boardwalk area. There's lots going on in the evening & several good restaurants are there. Be sure to get back into Epcot before closing though, or you will have to get a cab back to your hotel. (There are actually other ways, but they are a hassle.)
I'm envious, that sounds like a great time.
Be sure to catch a set by the band Off Kilter performing on their stage in front of the Canadian Pavilion. The last set of the evening is always lively & fun!
Grab an entertainment schedule & see all of the great street shows around the World Showcase. I could seriously watch Illuminations every night, maybe you can score a patio table at the Rose & Crown for it!
The AP is well worth it, I have had one for 5 years. :smooth:
