When you walk out gateway, you will see a huge line wrapping around station, down the ramp, around the corner and back. The line will start heading up the top of the hill where it meets the bridge to Boardwalk and down the hill to Beach Club. When you hit the top of the hill by the bridge, it’s approximately a 20 minute wait from that point.
What makes the wait time run smoothly is, keep your party together, have your double stroller folded and enter the cabin in which you were assigned, and remain seated. You will ride with another party, just like a bus and the monorail. The only difference is you are guaranteed a seat. The above is what keeps the line moving. The Skyliner moves more people per hour than any other form of transportation on property.
If you just don’t feel like waiting, Creations is open till 10pm, it’s a bit busy for about a half hour but the crowd thins out. It’s a good time to pickup the souvenirs you were looking at. The checkout line can get long but it moves pretty quick and there is mobile checkout.
Unfortunately, there is no easy way around a park dump. Just thousand of people at one time all heading in the same direction.
A nice bench, with a dessert from the patisserie in France watching the mobs all head for the exits is another great way to spend an hour or so. What you will also see Epcot in all its glory. Very few people left, the music still playing and the lights on.
