Epcot Sketch Swap~CLOSED

I'm sorry I've fallen off the face of the earth! Things are really busy (and good!) at work, and the last thing I want to do at night is look at a computer. Weekends are full of laundry, grocery shopping, and other "fun" stuff. No really, we had Morgan's birthday party last Saturday, yesterday we went to the Samurai exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts, etc. Just really insane...

So...I'm going to need an extension on this one. I think 2 weeks should do it, but am open to making it further out if that helps others too. What does everyone think? Since the final set was set for November 15th (and I leave for WDW on the 22nd, that would move that swap out to about December 1st). Will that mess people up? We could, conceivably, make it January if that would be easier on everyone.

Can we say this one is due 8/31, DHS will be ??


I'm taking a pajama day today to work on finding sketches and papers for this swap. Hoping to be able to do some title and embellishment designing as well.

I got Lisa and Nan's boxes. Thanks so much for the goodies. I guess I was not explicit enough in my packaging instructions... Lisa, I had meant that the others didn't need to separately package that group, but just add a separate bag for yours But, it's all good

I'm in for whatever happens and an extension would be greatly welcomed here.

Are you talking about starting the DHS one at the end of August and then doing the character one beginning after that? Or have we decided not to include a character one? Just checking. If you don't want to tackle the character one, I would be happy to help out (if there's interest).

Sorry about all the questions, I'm in a fog this morning. DS left for 2 weeks of camp and I didn't sleep at all last night. Having him 600 miles away makes me worry.

I'm thinking we will change the due date of this one to just after Labor Day. Have signups for DHS around that time and have a due date of 1/15/14-ish for that. (I know that's a long time but between my vacation, the holidays and post office timing I'd like it to be after the new year). The signups for the character one can be before or after the due date of DHS? I'm happy to continue hosting.

I'd be worried too. Hope you got a good night's sleep last night.

I'm all for an extension too! This splitting time between 2 places is a pain in the butt! Basically we are only home long enough to shower and change and sleep here 2 nights a week. Between swim lessons, running and HS camp I have yet to really touch anything.
2 more weeks and things will settle down so an extra 2 weeks would really help me out.

I am also in for MGM but out for Character. I don't usually do 2 page spreads for individual characters anymore, we see to many for that.

Character will be one page, I think. No mats glued down. Either a kit or just no mats stuck down.

Those dates sound good to me. I only have my holiday pages done, so I still have a ton of work to do on this swap. Glad to have the extension.

I would prefer one page for the characters, as opposed to kits. The kits I have a hard time with since I don't always have access to the matching papers people use. I will be OK with whatever you decide, though.

A huge thank you for all of the work you are doing on these swaps! It's really time consuming and I don't think people realize it if they have never hosted one. Its a lot of stuff to keep organized!

Love it! Did I ever post my Christmas layout? Think I will hafta go back through the thread and see because I honestly can't remember.

I have gotten absolutely nowhere on this swap. Back to school and getting DS ready for college has brought everything to a screeching halt. (Honestly, Nan, I don't know how you are managing to get more than one child ready to go!) I guess its a little harder for me cause this is my first time around. We havent even received his room assignment or roommate info yet . They said hopefully this week. (If they wait any longer they might as well not mail it out!)

I cleaned out their closets last weekend and there were 12 boxes of stuff they couldn't/wouldn't wear anymore . Now on top of all the school stuff I think I need to have a yard sale. Ugh! Only good part is that the money will all go to our Disney vacation!

Ugh, started putting my France pages together and I need more patterned paper. Must run to HL tomorrow, I hope they still have it. I have a plan B if needed but I'd rather not use it.

I have snacks and the land completed. Just need to sign the back or put a sticker on them May just go the sticker route. AA was already cut and I am now putting together the first page. Will be postal by Friday.

Almost done. Two more sets to put together. I decided to ink the edges of this one and it took longer than I thought it would. I hate the raw white core of the double sided or printed papers when I am working with them. I never notice them on finished products, but while I am using them, they bug the daylights out of me. LOL If I don't get them labeled, bagged and tagged tomorrow, they will be done when I get back from camping.

I'm once again way behind. We've had some very bad news in my family and my mo-jo is mo-gone. (It sounded better in my head).

Going to spend some time on the train getting my titles and such designed, so I can just start cutting soon.

Sorry to hear that Jen! I hope things get better soon.

I have lost a lot of mo-jo too. My kids are sucking the life out of me.
2 weeks until they go back to school!!
I have all my stuff, and I'm slowly cutting and getting everything together, I just need to sit down and do it. That's the hard part because I need to spread out and I can't do that when I'm back and forth to the RV.
I did however make progress with clearing the dining table so hopefully I can spread out tomorrow and just leave it on the table for a few days.

Betsy's brain tumor is back and it's bad. She can't do anymore radiation, the new chemo has lots of bad side effects. She's going to lose her hair again. It's rough. Too much going on to concentrate, unfortunately.

Thanks, but I think I'll be okay. We're going away for a much-needed, much-deserved long weekend next week, so I'll bring stuff with me to work on. The sorting and mailing isn't the hard part. It will be good to have something else to think about, but I do appreciate it!
