Just a little update for anyone interested....Its not 90 days in advance! I just booked it for DH(shhhh) for 7/20. I dont know how far in advance you can do it, but its more than 90 days.
Thanks for posting airhead! I never would have tried for about another month and I could have missed out if it filled up.

I did this tour a few days ago & it was absolutely amazing!

Please be very carefull though, one of our group wiped out very badly. He ended up sprawled with the Segway on top of him! He did get up & finish the tour though.

The tour is $80, $68 with the 15% discount available for certain groups. Worth every penny!

Don't be late for the tour - they start right on time! Wear sensible shoes. Ladies, a small backpack instead of a purse works well. You need your hands free.

I can't wait to do it again!

Kim, FYI, you can actually go to the training room and get some great photos and video of your husband then they tell you to meet him back there after the World Showcase portion of the tour!

Someone on our tour fell also, but got back on and had a good time.

Hopefully someday there will be an 'advanced' tour, till then I'll still be happy taking this tour again. We'll take my parents on it at some point this year too!

This would be an awesome 'birthday surprise' for DS on his 16th birthday !! - when the segway first came out and was on display he just stared at it and said "I can't wait to ride one of those !" Does anyone know if I could sign off for other 16 year olds if they weren't my children (if we took a friend or 2?) ?

really?! i wasn't even going to venture over to epcot until after he was done but now i'll be there with video and digicam in hand!

I booked this for My husband and I.

I was just about to hang up the phone and remembered I bought a annual pass- and asked, are there discounts for APs? I assumed she would say no, I mean- wouldnt she have asked me? Nope- never assume!

I am the AP holder, not husband, but got 15% off for both of us. We are going May 8th (Sat AM) Hope Im not the one in the group who takes an asphalt dive!!! s-p-l-a-t! -ugh! pleeeeeeze let it not be me!

For those of you that have done the Segway tour...Do they use the black or yellow or red key for when you are done training and out cruising around World Showcase.
We have a Segway at home and it wouldn't be too fun if I had to do the tour only on beginner speed.
Just wondering?

They only let you use the black key, which for me (a Segway newbie) was MORE than enough. But if you are already experienced with one, I could see it being less than spectacular.

During the tour they mentioned how the CMs aren't allowed to use the red keys, just the black and yellow ones... just a little tidbit!

Yeah, I can see that if you have a Segway at home the tour might be a bit pointless.....like of like how Autopia for me was a lot less interesting after I turned 16! =)
