Epcot Same-Day Large-Group TS Best Bet?

We're traveling to Disney World soon to see our kids march down Main Street with their high school marching band (so excited!). Recently, some of them have expressed interest in trying to get their friend group together for a sit-down meal in the World Showcase. It's unlikely they will manage to get a group consensus on this until they're actually all together at the parks (maybe even the morning of their Epcot day).

Which restaurant(s) in the World Showcase are their best bets for a group of maybe 10 to try to get same-day dinner reservations? Do they all need to be present to make the reservation, or can one of them do it for the group?

Nice! We did the same thing in March for Spring Break. My son's marching band got to march down Main Street and into Frontierland. It was pretty cool.

Anyway, the were in a similar boat in that most didn't even get their park passes until right before they left. But I know he and his friends, a group of 8, I believe, were able to get in as walk-up at 9 Dragons in EPCOT for dinner. They also went to a place another night in Disney Springs, I cannot remember which restaurant, but they had no reservations. So I know it is possible. Have fun!!!

Restaurant Marrakesh is usually pretty easy, too.

Biergarten would probably be available. The tables can seat ten and they would probably enjoy the show.

I would also say Nine Dragons. But you could always check the the MDE dining app. If it doesn't show availability for 10, break the party into 6 and 4 and check again.

Their choice will be contingent on availability. Check the app that day to see what is available.

Biergarten. They can sit at big tables. They would enjoy the music. A buffet that even picky eaters can find something to eat.

It will always depend on staffing on the floor and kitchen, not tables. The day they are ready have someone get on MDE and see what is available for them. That will narrow it down to what their choices are.

I find Nine Dragons and Marrakesh frequently have same-day availability.

Also Hacienda de San Angel. I was able to snag a last minute reservation for 10 when I met up with df and her dc. Just keep checking the app.

Nine Dragons, Marrakesh, Spice Road Table and Biergarten would be my suggestions for places to try for a walk-up. They can check the app or send one person to the podium at the restaurants to ask (they would then need everyone in their party present to be seated). Sometimes I've gotten walk-ups at places that don't show availability on the app (Spice Road in particular)
