Where would you recommend for a nice lunch at Epcot for a solo diner?

Went to the Coral Reef with friends last year but found it to be filled to capacity with families/children so not sure I'd feel comfortable with that (it's my first solo trip), so I guess something in World Showcase?

Thanks

I like Rose & Crown because of the Ploughmans Lunch - Ive eaten here solo a few times - both inside and out

I am having a solo dinner at R&C. I have eaten here before with family & friends, I just love it!

I'd recommend Le'Celliar in Canada.
Definetly start out with the canadian cheddar cheese soup. mmmm

I like Bistro de paris.

use to like Norway - but since the princess - have avoided it.

Morocco might be nice.

LeCellier has changed it menu and taken off the stuff I loved.

so won't be back to them for a long while.

The Biergarten in Germany is a lot of fun, and good for a solo because they seat you at a big table with other parties. The food is good too! There is an Oompah band that performs and kids get up an dance, and it is just fun to watch.

I'll bump Biergarten for the same reasons my good friend cited! :) Also, Teppan Edo in Japan is good for the same reasons. Much quieter, but the hibachi style cooking is entertaining and you can meet some interesting people at your table. And, the food is outstanding! I went last week and had a great lunch there.

Bistro in France is my favorite restaurant in Epcot, but it's only open for dinner. If you get an ADR there, try to get a late seating (around 8:15-30 or so) and ask for a window table and you'll have a wonderful view of Illuminations.

I think I might give Rose & Crown a go for lunch, and possibly the Bistro for dinner (looked at the menu and it looks amazing)

I'd would go with the Biergarten. I love that place. If you get great seat mates you may become lifelong friends. Oh, the food is good and the beer is cold. In case you wanted to know :)

I enjoyed Le Cellier on my solo trip in Jan - and it was awesome!

I enjoyed Nine Dragons on another solo trip last year - but they put me right out in the center of the room, which I didn't really care for (don't know why I didn't ask to be moved back then, but whatever)... the food was good, though.

At the moment I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with San Angel (always wanted to go there), but am thinking possibly Rose & Crown or Nine Dragons as well.

One of my favorites for a solo lunch is Chefs de France. I always ask nicely for a window table, and I've always been accomodated. It's so much fun to be able to people-watch during lunch (although be aware that occassionally, it will be returned-I've had people from outside come right up to the window and stare at my food. It's a little disconcerting). And a couple times I've even gotten to watch the show with the balancing chairs.

My DW and I LOVE San Angel Inn!! The atmosphere is very cool and the food is good and plentiful...you'll love it! It's also fun to watch the people on the Mexico ride go by as you're eating.

I've enjoyed having both lunch and dinner at Le Cellier, and the choice is not because I'm a Canadian but of their variety from steak (as it is a steakhouse) to pasta, seafood, chicken etc and their desserts are good as well.

Sorry but I have to go to locations that have great choices from the appetizers right on through their dessert menu!!

I've heard wonderful things about Le Cellier, too. A friend ate there three years ago and she still talk about the creme brulee.

The Bistro in France is always good when DH and I go, the atmosphere is relaxing and the food very good. We usually do Le Cellier (sp) for dinner and we always enjoy it, so I don't hesitate to rec'd it for lunch as well.
