Epcot Resorts

Which resort is close enough to Epcot to walk? And which ones are on the Epcot monorail stops?

The Epcot resorts (Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan and Dolphin) don't have monorail access, but they are all a quick walk to Epcot. You enter through the World Showcase rather than the front entrance. The quickest walk would be Beach Club. All 5 resorts also have boat transportation to both Epcot and DHS (DHS is also about a 15-20 minute walk from all the hotels as well.)

May I just say that one of my favorite things about staying at the Beach Club was the lovely stroll "home" from Epcot at the end of the day? BC is the closest, but YC and BW aren't much farther.

(Oh, and if you use the boat - the shared dock for YC/BC is at the YC end, so I think it's definitely shorter/quicker to just walk to the BC.)

If you are choosing between the YC, BC, and BW, I wouldn't worry about which one is the closest walk to Epcot. All three of these locations are very close; the difference between one from the other is only a few hundred yards and a couple of minutes at best. If it's coming down to those three, I say choose based on theme alone and not about distance from Epcot one from the other. The Swan and Dolphin are a bit further out but I really don't have much interest in them since they are not Disney Resorts (they are nice though).

BC is the closest, as has already been stated. I just wanted to agree with the poster who said that she enjoyed the walk back to the BC at the end of the day...she's right...BEAUTIFUL walk and very soothing!

I wanted to mention to the OP that the Epcot resorts do not have monorail access since the monorail stop is at the front of Epcot and the resorts are in the "back" with access to Epcot via the International Gateway located between France and the United Kingdom in World Showcase. That entrance opens at the same time as the front entrance. If you say at an Epcot resort, there is no Disney transportation to the front of Epcot. You would have to walk through Epcot to access the monorail (and it would "cost" you a day's admission).

Transportation from the Epcot resorts to the Studios is via boat or a walking past from the Boardwalk. Transportation from the Epcot resorts to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom is via bus that usually stops at several of the Epcot resorts before traveling to the park of choice.

I mention all that if the OP was under the impression they could get the monorail directly to the Magic Kingdom from an Epcot Resort.

I have stayed at the Swan (great rate) and didn't mind the walk to/from Epcot. Also took the boat to/from Epcot and the Studios. The Poly is a quick walk to TTC & an easy monorail ride to Epcot. Good luck and have a great vacation!

so true! also after fireworks it sooo nice to walk back and not have to fight the crowds for the buses. you have tons of options to eat with the boardwalk and epcot so close, its really is a nice place to stay.

there are no hotels on the Epcot monrail.

it is an express between TTC and Epcot.

the BC is the closest - go under the bridge instead of over it and it is also the easiest.

there is on the resort monrail at the MK - the monrail resorts - Polyn, GF and CR/BLT. this is only for the MK monrail not Epcot.

they came after Epcot was build. they are also closer to World showcase than furture world. this is so when the park closes after Illiuinations - they can be in their rooms (definitely BC) before most of the guests are even in the cars, buses or monrail.

Thanks all. I was actually thinking of booking my kids in a supervised activity night so my DH and I could go out one night by ourselves. We're in a moderate so no programs there. I think we'll want to go to Epcot so I'm looking for a program in an Epcot resort where it wouldn't take too much time to drop off/pick up the kids and enjoy Epcot.

My favorite part of staying at the Yacht Club isn't the stroll home from Epcot, but the fact that we can come back from the MK, AK, Blizzard Beach or whatever and walk into Epcot for a great meal. In a week we probably eat 4 dinners and four lunches in Epcot just because we can and we love their restaurants.

Like the others said MK and Epcot are closest to travel between because of monorail, but they are huge and pretty much impossible to do in one day. You would be much better off to try to do Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios together in one day because they are the smallest two parks. Start at AK because it opens earlier than the others sometimes, and it always closes first. The Studios is open late pretty much all the time. Plus the animals are most active in the morning.
