How late in the evening do the boats run between Disney MGM and the Epcot Resorts?

One evening we are going to be eating at Yachtman's Steakhouse; then we thought we would check out the Boardwalk; but eventually have to get back to Pop Century and thought of going to Disney MGM and catch the bus.

Thanks.

The last boat to MGM would be about an hour after the park closes.
This does not mean an hour after Fantasmic! ends if that show begins at pak closing time.

What's more, the buses stop running to the resorts at about an hour-plus after MGM's closing (or until the last of the Fantasmic! guests have boarded.)

I don't know for a fact, but would think it would run until park closing. Transportation usually runs until the parks are cleared out. Maybe look up Disneys site to see what the park hours are on that night? :confused3

Anyone else think differently??

When I stayed at the Boardwalk Inn in 2003, the boats ran for an hour after the parks closed.

It's going to depend on how late you are there. If the parks are closed, then you cannot count on the resort buses taking you back to the park.

Last Saturday, we left the Poly at 10:30ish and were planning on taking a bus to MGM & then back to CSR. The MGM bus came to drop guests off, but it did not let us on b/c the park was closed! (It closed at 10:00) We had to wait for a DTD bus and make the transfer there. Those buses run until 2:00 am though, so you can always go that route! Hope that helps!

Yeah, taking the bus to DTD from the Yacht Club sounds like a better plan to me.

You might be able to walk to MGM from the Yacht Club. Then, if the busses are still running, you can catch your ride from there. I don't know if they lock off the footpath when the park closes.

Was MK still open at 10:30?

There are supposed to be busses running to the closed parks (from parks that are open or just closed) because of people who might have parked their car at MGM and hopped to MK.

Yes, the REAL reason the bus from MGM would not let folks board at the resort is that it was likey NOT GOING BACK to MGM that evening (headed to another location or back to "the barn" for the night.)

That's true. The bus may have not had the MGM sign up on the marquee. (It may have said "Special".

But I would think the driver would have said something like "An MGM bus will be here shortly", instead of them having to go to DTD to transfer.

Not necessarily.

They tend to not "make promises" at that hour considering that there might NOT be a bus dispatched to now-closed park.

The DTD is the "prescribed" sure-thing after hours.

Not if a person's car is parked at MGM.

Whose fault would THAT be?

(Worst-case) If a guest left his car at DAK parking lot and took a bus to MK and stayed until end of EMH at 3am (again, worst-case).

There would be no BUS to take him back there and nobody at the DAK parking lot either.

Now, if this DID happen (and I guarantee it HAS) Disney security and the bus dispatcher should be able find a way to remedy the guest's error.
But I would not EXPECT an individual bus driver to to the one to decide to "fix it".

But that brings us around to my original post where I said that WDW HAS busses that go to the closed parks specifically for those who have parked there and park hopped to another park, but only FROM parks that are still open or recently closed

That's why I asked (when the bus driver wouldn't take them to MGM) whether or not MK was still open or recently closed.

That's alright, Ed.
You keep this going as long as you can.
I'll try to catch up later.

Right now, I've got to go get my car (if I can find a bus.)

:goodvibes
