Epcot arrival day
fly from Boston 7:05-10:35am
7am Book Remy’s BG AND then
Book Test Track G+ refresh to get later time if possible
10am park open
12pm book Soarin or Mission to Mars G+ whichever is later
2pm book #3 FP before tap into Test Track

Arrive at 11am, go to CL lounge and get something to eat/drink.
Check in or head to park around 12ish

I am guessing that Test Track is likely the most popular G+ attraction, but if not then

what is the most popular ride to push back later in the day so I can book a G+ as late into the day as possible in the morning?

Couple of things you might want to consider.

  • If your plan departs at 7:05, then you will definitely be boarded at 7 and might be pushing it to not have it switched to airplane mode yet.
  • How are you getting from the airport to WDW? Renting a car, Uber, ME (if this year) or something else? I would be surprised if your flight lands at 10:35am if you'd even be out of the airport before 11. Especially if you check luggage. Given the time to take the airport train to baggage claim, get bags if you need to, get your rental car or meet your Uber/drive, you probably want to figure you won't be at your hotel until 12pm at the earliest.
  • Given the above, your BG might get called before you get to EPCOT. I got ours at 7am, got BG 51 and we were called at 1:30pm. If you got an earlier BG, you might not make it in time. You could wait until a minute after 7 to try to get a later one, but you also risk them running out. You would probably be better off getting one at the 1pm drop.
  • Genie Plus for TT might not be late enough at 7am. I got ours at about 7:05 and it was for 12:05pm. Since your flight leaves at 7:05 - you don't really have much leeway in terms of refreshing to get a later time (see point one)
I would push your entire plan to assume you won't get into EPCOT until 1pm. Here's what I would do.
  • Don't worry about the 7am BG or LL
  • When you get in, got to your hotel and then head to EPCOT with a plan to be there by 1pm.
  • Get 1pm BG for Remy - you'll probably be riding in late afternoon or early evening
  • When you get there, grab a LL for Test Track or Soarin- example, right now it is 12:38pm EST and TT LL start at 1:10m (and Soarin at 1:25pm) - you'll probably be riding it by 2pm
  • Get your next LL for the other (TT or Soarin)
  • After you've ridden both, get LL for any other ride - but most of them (The Seas, SE, MS) typically have standby less than 10 minutes
  • If you don't want to spend money on Genie for your EPCOT day, you could do single rider for TT and standby (has been 20-40 minutes lately) for Soarin.
From what I've been seeing and what we experienced last week, none of the EPCOT rides have LL out more than an hour. That may change if the park gets busier.

thanks this is helpful in many ways!! especially if I don't have to worry about this while take off being #1. I was worried TT would be so far into the evening by 1pm but your strategy sounds great!!

Maybe I could get some G+ for end of the night and hop to HS after a few rides.

Epcot arrival

7am book G+SDD late
10am park open (reported)
12pm book G+ MFSR late (if available)
1-2pm, enter park Remy’s BG
2pm book Test Track G+

You could most likely get anything at HS outside of SDD. MFSR might not be available - but I think you'd have a good chance at noon.
