EPCOT Re-entry Question

I have a question about park hopping.

Here is the senario, I'm staying at the Coronado Springs resort, I have a 5 day Park Hopper Plus ticket and I'm visiting EPCOT. I enter EPCOT throught the main front entrance. If I decide later that I want to go to the Boardwalk area from EPCOT how do I go about this? I know that I walk through the International Gateway to the Boardwalk.

1. My question is will they let me back in to EPCOT after I finish walking around the Boardwalk?
2. Does re-entering EPCOT through the international gateway count towards another day on my ticket?
3. Can I go back and forth between the Boardwalk area and EPCOT even though I'm not staying in the hotels in that area?

Please answer these three questions if you know.

thanks!

You may already be aware of this already but just in case you don't know, it is a pretty good walk from the International Gateway to the Boardwalk. They do offer a ferry boat and it can save alot of time. Of course your questions were answered by WDSearcher so I'll not be redundant.

Thanks for all the info. I was also aware of the boat. I hope to try it next time we go to Disney. I was more concerned about the re-entry question. I was worried that If I went to the Boardwalk area that I wouldn't be able to re-enter EPCOT with out using up another day on my park hopper.

it's not really all that much of a walk to the boardwalk area...5 minutes from international gateway to teh ESPN club....as far as the boats go, if one happens to be right there ready to leave when you walk up, then go for it...If you have to wait at all for the boat, it's just quicker to walk over....

Just make sure you get a handstamp when you leave - you need both stamp plus ticket to return to a park the same day.

I agree - 5 minute walk to the resorts from International Gateway, can't even remember the last time I took the boat!

Thanks, I'm glad you told me about the handstamp. I wasn't sure if I needed that or not.

Question. Is a handstamp required at all Disney theme parks if you plan on returning to that park on the same day?

Yes. If you do not have one, Disney has no way to know YOU were the person that used the ticket the first time that day.

Without the handstamp process, more than one person could use a ticket on the same day. Disney doesn't want that.

If you re-enter and do not have a handstamp, you could be charged another day of admission.

The handstamp is required for hopping between different parks on the same day as well as for re-entering the SAME park. (That's assuming you have a hopper ticket). We always get a handstamp when we leave, even if we don't think we'll be going back to the same park or to another park that day. It's just in case we change our minds. You never know!

I didn't know about the handstamping. I know it's a bit off the subject, but could I be sure I got this straight?

If you're in MK in the am and then go to Epcot in the evening, you need to have your hand stamped as well as have the park hopper pass?

I sure hope the ink won't come out in the pool.

I so appreciate these boards. Having never gone to wDW yet and planning my family's first trip there, I'm feel like I've virtually been there.

I think this is valuable news to me.

Please explain, someone, how it works.

Thanks.

If you are going to park hop you should get your hand stamped. They dont always check for the hand stamp but better safe than sorry. The stamp is basically invisible, can be seen under a certain light. It will not come off if you are swimming.

The only caveat I have is that my question was phrased to my specific situation. We have the ultimate park hopper length of stay passes.

Here is their answer:

Dear Craig,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.

Guests are welcome to exit our theme parks and return later the same
day at no additional charge.
However, it is necessary for guests to obtain a handstamp when exiting
because both a handstamp and
admission ticket are required for re-entry. Admission to the theme
parks is monitored closely, and
must be restricted or cut off when near capacity is indicated. For
this reason, we do not guarantee
readmittance to guests who have exited the park.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact
us.

when you leave any of the parks by WHATEVER gate GET YOUR HAND STAMPED then you use your ticket and show your hand stamp to get back in or to park hop, running the ticket through does not use another day it just verifies you entered a park that day. and the hand stamp shows it was YOU who entered and not someone else using your ticket to get in
