If I do RD at Epcot on a crowd level 4 day the last week in August, go straight to TT, and then head to Soarin', what will the line be like for Soarin' once I get there? Also, how long before 9:00 when they open should I arrive? Thank you

We were there on a 5 day (Feb 13) and while we did not go from TT to Soarin as you are asking, I can tell you this
We arrived at 9:00
Went straight to TT to ride standby - the wait was 15 minutes
After riding it, the wait had already grown to 1/2 hour. Later on in the evening it got to 60 minutes. We waited but only b/c it was very cold/windy that evening and we were waiting for Illuminations so figured if we're going to wait anyway might as well do it inside and obviously a lot of other ppl thought that as well. The wait for TT did NOT seem like an hour. I think some of that is due to the design your car area. If I were you, I'd go to Soarin first and ride it standby then go to TT. The SB wait for Soarin is very boring IMO. I would much rather wait SB for TT!

If you arrive by 8:30, I think you will be fine.

If I were you, I'd do Soarin 1st. That line is so boring and seems to actually take longer than it does. At least part of the wait time at TT is building your car. As the previous poster said, Soarin waits just get longer and longer as the day goes on.

Ok, thanks for the advice. I'll do Soarin' first and it sounds like I should be able to do both before the line gets too bad so I can use my FP+ at a different park. Thank you very much!

I agree, Soarin 1st is definitely the way to go, I think Soarin has much wider appeal to a wider range of guests and therefore I would guess that a higher percent head there first.

Josh's cheat sheet is good on his Easy WDW site for Epcot ropedrop plan of attack.

We were at Epcot on 2/3. Went straight to Soarin' at RD and had basically no wait. When we got off Soarin' the wait was posted at 30 minutes. Then we left the Land, stopped to make FP+ reservations (no line there), took at pic with Chip n Dale outside, then went to TT. The wait was already posted at 35 minutes by that point. My dd timed it on her Ipod and the wait was 37 minutes (from entering line to entering car). Maybe if we'd skipped Chip n Dale it would have been a shorter wait, but it didn't take long for the wait to grow over there.

Anyway, I'd still do Soarin' first. TT lines also dropped down again in the evening. We went and did it again then. We also did Soarin' again right at park close with maybe a 15 minute wait. (None of us were interested in Illuminations.)
