My dd 4 and I will be going to WDW in late August. :) I was wondering how many of the attractions will she really enjoy. She will be 5 at the time and tall enough to do most rides. While she is tall enough for most rides she prefers the gentler type of ride (peter pan ect.).

Will be going again in one or two years. So my question is should we wait and introduce to the wonders of Epcot when she is older or are there enough things to do to capture her attention.

Thanks for your help! :)

If you really want to go to EPCOT, bring your daughter along and there will be plenty for her to do (all the Kidcot stops in Future World and World Showcase, for example). However, my kids really enjoyed the other parks more when they were her age and have grown to enjoy EPCOT more and more as they have gotten older. So I think it is really more about whether the trip is primarily for you (take her along and find things she can enjoy) or for her (skip EPCOT until she is 8 or more).

There are the KidCot Fun Stops around World Showcase, along with a passport that she can get stamped from the different countries. She might like Innoventions, its a very hands on area and Imagination is the same, but probably more intended towards the younger crowd. The Living Seas is nice, if she likes fish. If you're there, check out Turtle Talk with Crush, I heard that was very cool (we'll be seeing it for the first time in Feb). There is a nice boat ride in Mexico. If she likes the tame rides, then I'm sure she'll like this one. If she's tall enough, you can try Soarin'. That's a tame ride, which is very nice. I've seen young kids on there too.

I'm sure there'll be plenty for your DD to do. She might not like it as much as the other parks, but she'll be entertained. Have fun!!

The Imagination ride with Figment is alot of fun, The Timone and Pumbaa show about the earth and the Land ride is nice, Turtle Talk with Crush is fantastic.....and the countries are fun too

We may be strange, but my three that are now 5, 9, and 13 have always listed Epcot as one of their favorites. It may be because they are adventurous eaters and we usually go during the food and wine festival, but we usually try to plan things to make it special. As others have said, the kidcot stops for a mask, a passport for the countries where the get a message written just for them in the countries native language, collecting a pressed penny from each country. We have also done small research on some of the countries beforehand since we usually travel during school time and want to make it a bit educational. The last trip we went a bit above and beyond and hired pixies from gifts of a lifetime. It was not cheap but they sent us on a two hour scavenger hunt around the park. They had to get pictures and autographs in future world, and in the world showcase we had to find clues and do tasks. It was a great way to see the park in a whole new light. Let your little one help plan the day, too. Look at maps before you go and let them know what will be there and pick what attractions to see. Good luck and have fun!

There is a lot at Epcot for her.
