Epcot Pick a Pearl

I was wondering how much the pick a pearl costs at Epcot. Are you guarenteed to get a pearl?

you are guarenteed a pearl but not size or color. and i think it cost 12.99 or something close to that. you can also get it set into jewelery while you wait. i had my first one done into a necklace. someone here on the boards said that even if you don't get it put into a setting there, to get it drilled then because after a while the become too brittle and no jeweler will do it.

have fun doing it. the first time we did it my DS got me a 7mm chapaign (sp?) pearl. the last time my neice got a 6.5mm white and my DS got me twins!! one was 6mm the other 6.5mm.

in epcot it is the japan pavillion in the shop. you can also do it in downtown disney but that is an open air kiosk type place, couldn't tell you a name.

You can also do this behind the slide at Storm Along Bay by the walk way.

I think the version of this that they have in Japan at Epcot is the best of the bunch.

Be careful though. You could end up spending lots of money of the "stuff" that goes along with the pearl. They are like timeshare sales people.

I agree the one in Japan is the nicest. My DD just did this two weeks ago. I believe it cost about $14 for the oyster/pearl. She got a 6 3/4 mm white pearl. She paid for the pearl herself. Then we split the cost of having it set. She picked the silver dolphin pendent with a chain. I think it cost about $40 (maybe more??). She has been wearing it everyday.

Japan has the bigger tanks of oysters where as the other places have a few in a bucket.
