:confused3 hello friends - what can you tell me about the epcot passports - i know that they can be bought at the carts in epcot but what can you tell me about having them signed - who signs them and anything other information will be appreciated

thanks

The passport comes with little flag stickers and such. They can be stamped and such at the various KidCot stations - each country has a little table set up where kids can do a very small craft and talk to someone from that country. When we were there last, DD was given a mask on a stick at the 1st station she went to (doesn't matter which station you start at) and each new place had a little thing she could color and attach to the mask.

A friend bought DD her passport last time around. She looked at it for maybe 2 minutes, ten never again - not even to put in the flag stickers, and she usually likes stickers. That mask, on the other hand, was kept until it literally fell apart. The passport is cool if your kids would like it, but I doubt I'll spring for it on our next visit - will hope for another mask, though. :flower:

We loved the passports! I think our girls, 10 and 6, would have been bored with the WS without them. But they had so much fun finding the next kidcot stops. The books come with the various country stamps, we sat down and they actually did all the stamps first. Then as you go country to country, each stop has someone who usually will speak to them at least partly in the country's language and write in that language too. My girls got their names written in Japanese, etc. They will also stamp the masks that they can get too. If we do it again, I think I would have them choose either the mask or the passport because its the same stamps on both and it just made more to carry.
They have already looked back on them here at home and talk about all the countries they visited, so we felt it well worth it and a lot of fun!

On the front of the kit, it says it contains: 1 Epcot Pasport, 11 Country Stamp Sheets, 1 Vinyl Pouch and 1 Epcot Botton. Hope that helps.

DS really liked his and wants to take it back to finish it up the next time we go. He got pretty lucky and had CMs who really spent a lot of time writing interesting things in the empty spaces aroung the stickers, teaching him words, etc.

My children (ages 6, 4, and 2 on the last trip) all enjoyed putting the stickers in their passports whenever we stopped to sit for meals while in Epcot. I think they're cute - not a "must do" but enjoyable and educational.

Hope that helps!

We did this when DD was about 6 and she really enjoyed it. It helped encourage her to WANT to go through WS. Each cast member signed a little note to her in their native language and then we wrote the interpretation on the facing page. It's in one of our scrapbooks and she still likes to take it out and look at it from time to time. Enjoy.

Thank you so much for this information! I had been worried that my DD (age 5) would be bored with Epcot, but this is the PERFECT idea to keep her (AND me!) entertained since Epcot's not exactly my favorite park :) :flower:
