Epcot - passport to the countries ...

You purchase a passport book in Epcot and you have it stamped and signed by a cast member in each country. My kids love doing this as the cast member will write a message to your child in French or German, etc. You will visit the "kidcot" station to have this done. You can purchase the passports in Epcot, but I made mine at home. A few years back, someone on the Dis posted a link to make the passports at home. They were super cute! If you are interested, I can try to post it here. There were 2 kinds--one for girls with the Princesses on it and one for boys.

It is really worth doing. It you go to the Creative DISigns section of the boards you will find really cute ones, more kid friendly than the ones they sell in Epcot. Some people save them and have them printed as small photo books. I just printed mine on cardstock at home. When we got home from the trip I had it bound at Staples. My boys have done it twice and really loved it. The CM are great. They talk to each kid and write a message on the corresponding page in their language. It is a great souvenir. My kids always loved bringing it to school whenever they were a Star of the Week or any assignment where they had to bring in something special.

And FYI - the passports aren't just for the kids. Adults can do them as well.

I have to giggle at this thread because when I was a CM a long time ago, for a week they assigned me to the passport/Kidcot area in the UK pavilion, and all the kids (and parents) were disappointed to see me, a girl from the far away land of Miami Florida, instead of someone actually from the UK.

Hey, I just show up for work and go where they tell me to go! Haha.

But I did get to hang out with Pooh and Mary Poppins so it wasn't all bad for me.

Sounds like something mine would love! Would be great if you could post! Thx :)

We have just had them sign the Duffy sticks the last two visits, but after reading this, I think we will have them sign/stamp in our autograph book! Thanks for the idea! I hope I can remember this in November. :)

I am not sure how to post this because the Dis member sent me the link via email. If you want to PM me with your email address, I can forward it to you :)

We did this as well our last trip. I had ours printed on 4x6 photo prints and bound into a 4x6 photo album. My daughter has brought it to school 2 years in a row for show and tell and my son brought it to school a few times when one of the countries they were learning about was in the boOk. The other kids liked seeing the writing from China and Japan the most!

I will make new books this year for our trip.

Here is a couple pics from our book on photo stock paper.

Not sure if its been mentioned (skimming while at work !), but most of the countries also have little fact cards that you can the CM's for --- my daughter had a blast collecting them last trip to add to her passport book !

When we did this, they were handing out free passport books at various refreshment stands. I think maybe this was part of the Flower & Garden festival.

We just bought 2 of them on our last trip. They cost $9.95 and come with a passport booklet, a page of stamps for each country, and a round pin/button with Mickey and a bunch of flags. A cast member in each country stamps the passport and writes a message in their native language. My kids, ages 5 and 7, love them.
