We leave for WDW in 27 days for our second trip :Pinkbounc. We are planning on one whole day at Epcot(in addition to other hopping days).
We will be eating at LeCellier earlier in ther week due to all the great things I have read on these boards(thanks DIS!) I am trying to decide on where to eat on this day. I am thinking maybe about Teppanyaki(we have been to this type of restaurant with our son and he loved it), or maybe going over to one of the boardwalk restaurants.
What do you all suggest???????? My kids are good in restaurants, and we will be on the dining plan. :confused3 Thanks for any suggestions in advance!

I think san angel inn is great for kids, they can watch the boat go by or look at the starry sky. If you like mex food I think it would be fun. Anywhere in epcot is great!

You will love Le Cellier...it's one of our favorites!!! We love Beaches & Cream at the BC....I think it's a really fun atmosphere, especially for kids. They do not take ADRs though so you have to wait for a table....the food is not gourmet by any means but we really enjoy the experience so we go every trip!

Try Flying Fish at Boardwalk....you won't regret it!! Had a fantastic dinner there Friday night with my sweetie

Thanks for all the replies so far!! We did try Beaches and Cream on our first visit and did like it. I am also wondering if Spoodles if "kid friendly". This may be another possibility.

We like to leve Epcot for lunch and go to ESPN on the BW. Very good food (love the nachos!)and its a nice quiet, cool break from the parks.

We have two boys -- 5 & 7--

Here is where we ALWAYS go....

Le Cellier -- great food, wine & service -- the kids dessert (Chocolate "Moose" is awesome -- they boys talked about it for weeks.)

Tepinyaki -- went for the first time in September. The boys loved it, and so did we -- however, DH & I split an appy and and entree and it was plenty of food -- if you go on the dining plan, go hungry!

Rose & Crown -- we have gone here for a late dinner (the boys ate earlier at America or wherever and had dessert with us during our dinner) We requested an outside table and then stayed to watch Illuminations.

On the boardwalk:
Spoodles -- again, great food, wine & service. Ask for Barbara to serve you. Fun to be around the Boardwalk area after dinner to check out the entertainment

You won't be disappointed!

Have fun

My kids love the Rose & Crown in the UK - good food and atmosphere. Spoodles is fun - we've had breakfast and dinner there several times and always had great food and service. We are not crazy about the ESPN Club with the kids - we found it too loud, the dining area too small, too crowded and the tables were too small -- all making for a rather uncomfortable meal. We also enjoy the Garden Grill in the Land Pavillion. It is a character meal served family style and the restaurant rotates very slowly while you eat.

Cheers

I would second San Angel Inn. It is one of my kids' two "must do" restaurants. I don't know whether they love the food so much as the atmosphere, and the chips! We are planning to try Spoodles, Teppanyaki and Rose and Crown with our kids for the first time on our upcoming trip to BCV.

Well, in response to your question about spoodles...it is kid-friendly, but when we were there in early Jan., we found it to be nothing special at all. The food was mediocre to poor on that night (very dry chicken and rock-hard peas for my dd), and my dd didn't really enjoy it, although she loved Jiko, 50's, WCC, etc... You don't say how old your kids are, but if they're like my dd9, I think they'd have more fun at one of the Epcot restaurants like Teppanyaki or San Angel where there's interesting things to see and experience. Just my two cents!!!

If you're spending the morning in Future World (where else?), consider having lunch at Garden Grill in The Land. It's a character meal, but the food alone justifies the price. (Not sure what the current lunch prices are, but I'd guess $21-22 adults and $11 kids.)

If you don't want to do table service for lunch, the newly revitalized Sunshine Seasons counter service in the basement of The Land looks pretty good too.

If you're leaving Epcot for dinner, consider Cape May at Beach Club. No characters for dinner but still fun for kids. The food is fine if you accept that it's not an authentic "clambake". The desserts are especially good -- as good as Boma's IMO.

Oops, forgot to list their ages. my ds will be just barely 10 and my dd is 6.

With a 10 & 6 year old I would suggest Garden Grill in The Land pavillion. It's a character meal with Mickey, Pluto, Chip & Dale. This meal is served family style & when we were there (November) it was fried catfish, flank steak, turkey with cranberry relish, au gratin potatoes, sauteed fresh veggies (grown there!) wonderful bread and a dessert sampler. The kids meal is chicken fingers, mac & cheese and their dessert is a cupcake they can decorate with whipped cream, M&M's, mickey shaped sprinkles and gummy worms. We had great character interaction and everyone (ages 3 to 74) loved it!
