Epcot or Animal Kingdom Fastpass?

My family is arriving at Disney World on December 24th at around 10 am. We are first going to Animal Kingdom and currently have fast passes for everest, dinosaur, and safaris. We decided that we would like to go to epcot after this as we only have 2 days at disney parks. Since you can only use your fast passes at one park, would it be better to use them at animal kingdom from around noon to 4 or later at epcot before/after dinner? (We have a reservation at Chefs De France at 8)

after you use your first 3 you may get some more even at another park

I think it depends on what you must to at EPCOT I think right now is is very very unlikely that you would get FP for soaring ( not sure when it will be down for refurb and I have heard because of this the lines are even longer) or TT and I do not think the other lines would be that long 30 minutes

if you would like to do the above check for a FP but I do not think that will happen I would to soaring during illumination I think it will be about an hour wait and then TT with single rider line

I've checked and there are fast passes available for soarin and all of the rides we would want to do at epcot, so that is not an issue

Then I would save the passes for Epcot I think, especially if you want to do TT and Soarin' as I expect they will have longer waits than Dinosaur and Safari. Unfortunately Everest is likely going to have quite a wait.

I would save them for Epcot and get a FP for Soarin as the lines for it will be likely quite long later in the day.

Personally, I would use my first three FP+ at AK, for a number of reasons: you aren't getting to AK until at least an hour after rope drop, there are more fastpass-worthy rides at AK, and Epcot has a tiered system where you can't get advance FP+ for both Soarin' and TestTrack.

I have no idea how crowds are on Christmas Eve, but assume that Everest and Safari will start getting significant standby wait times after 10am. If you save your FP+ for Epcot, you'll be waiting in longer lines for headliners at AK. If you use first 3 FP+ at AK, you could probably get a 4th FP+ at a kiosk in Epcot for secondary ride (Soarin' and TT FP will be long gone). I would only save my 3 FP+ for Epcot if Soarin' or TT was an absolute MUST.

No way to make rope drop? Trying to park hop on a holiday and not arriving until 10 is hard. If you can rope drop I would say go for the Soarin fast pass, if not then keep the AK ones and just resign yourself to not riding Soarin. Everest and Safari probably add up to a Soarin and you don't have to stress about getting to your Epcot fastpass on time.

One tip. You can take the bus to Epcot and leave your car at AK after it closes instead of trying to move it to Epcot on a holiday evening. If the direct buses between the parks stop going from Epcot to AK before you pick up your car, the AK Lodge bus will drop you off.

Hmm. The OP doesn't say if they will be arriving by plane at 10:00, or arriving by car. If their plane is arriving at 10:00, then they can't expect to get to the park before 1:00. But even if they arrive at AK at 10, the park will have already been open for 2 hours, and the lines will already be long.

I'd use the 3 FPs at AK. Otherwise, she'd be looking at extremely long standby waits for all of the headliners, and would probably only get a couple of attractions under her belt before heading to Epcot. There's really only a faint hope of getting a 4th FP there in late afternoon when the crowds will likely be a 10. They could do TT using single rider if everyone in their group is old enough, and perhaps 1 or 2 of the lesser rides standby before heading into WS.

I'd be tempted to spend more time in WS, seeing the Storytellers and other live performers before ending with dinner.

We are arriving by plane at 9, so I figure it will take us about 2 hours to get to the park. I think we are going to use our 3 FP at animal kingdom. The reason why we are trying to get to epcot is that one member of our party has never been and would like to see the world showcase, so we are going to go just for dinner/world showcase and possible test track and maybe catch soarin before close?

Hard choice. Depends on how much you want to do at AK. You get 3 long line rides there but other than Soarin or TT I think they're a bit of a waste. I'd say look at the three choices you'd make at both parks and decide which SET you want more as a whole. You'll be standing on some lines no matter what choice so just make it as few as possible. If you're dead set on one particular ride - use that. Too bad you can't make rope drop for AK cause then I'd say definitely FP at Epcot and get a few rides at AK those first two hours.

I would just book your FP at EC. That is a popular time to visit and by the time you get to EC to book your 4th FP your choices will be very limited.

I would book at Epcot. I feel like the rides you have FP+ don't have nearly as long of lines as the Epcot rides would.

stick with AK with 1st FP starting no earlier than noon. Then, go to EP and just skip the rides and enjoy all the Christmas/Holiday entertainment at the different countries around EP. There are so many lovely extra holiday things in the countries to keep you busy. Otherwise, your day at AK might be standing in lines a lot. Do the easy way--and just skip Soarin. Your only option for Soarin (still with probably an hour line) is during the laser show. I have been on Christmas eve--it's packed beyond belief at Soarin.

That's probably what I would consider the best answer.
(Unless you want to try getting in a Soarin or TT line right before Illuminations starts.)
