Epcot - NYE - epcot resorts and re-entering park

If you were staying at an Epcot resort on NYE.
has anyone had any luck leaving thru international gateway, and then returning to Epcot later on ?????

The thought of 14 hrs in the park is the only thing that does not appeal to me in the least.....

it is such a fuzzy topic if they allow you to leave and re-enter thru international gateway......

The IG is an exit and entrance. If EPCOT is not closed due to capacity, they will let you in with the proper ticket of course.

I've been to EPCOT for NYE for years. Sometimes I'm staying in a resort, and most recently I'm staying at my own home! I've never had a problem entering or re-entering the park, even in the early evening.

I know it closes, have been there when it did, but EPCOT is so large that it doesn't usually remain closed like some of the smaller parks can do.

We stayed at YC 2 years ago for NYE and went back & forth to the hotel numerous times during the day and early evening- no problems.

well that is certainly good to hear, we have AP's and am aware that the int'l gateway is an entrance/exit..as we have stayed at epcot resort over 10 times,
just never been for NYE, and am still unsure if we will be ther this NYE, but the fact that a possibility is that we do not have to get to the park at opening and stay til after midnight is a major plus. I dont care how exciting...14 hrs in a park just does not appeal to me in the least.
well, we'll decide by this weekend...
