Working on my schedule for our October trip. How crowded is Epcot at night for EMH? Would we be able to ride TT without a significant wait? We don't plan on watching Illuminations. Would it be best to go during that time?

Yes
Why don't you want to watch Illuminations?
It is a wonderful light, music, laser, fire, fireworks show. So much more than just a fireworks show

We watched it when we went in 2015. I liked it but it was by far my least favorite show. I would prefer to ride TT an extra time than use a lot of time finding a good spot to watch it.

Expect Frozen, TT, and Soarin' to all be busy during PM EMH, especially at the start of EMH (9pm.)

Actually, we rode TT during Illuminations on our last trip w/ no wait during EMH night. We watched Illuminations (our fave show another night). Usually as soon as the crowds clear out from the show the WS is usually pretty decent.

I went to Epcot late EMH on Feb 28. I rode the 7:50 Express Transportation bus from AK, arriving at Epcot about 8:15. I grabbed a snack and then watched Illuminations from in front of Canada. My plan after that was to ride Soarin', then Frozen Ever After. My thinking was that even though it was a bit of backtracking, Frozen's line would stay longer...longer.

Best laid plans...the Soarin' queue said 45 minutes when I arrived at 9:25ish. I thought, well, that's what it would be if there were FP slowing down the standby, there's no way it will be that long. 40 minutes later, I was riding Soarin.

I walked to Frozen, and it said 50 minutes. Again, with no FP slowing the line down, I had hope it wouldn't be that long. Nope. In fact, it was even a bit more than that.

So it's almost 11:00, and I was silly enough to head to and wait in the Pop bus line. ONE HOUR AND 17 MINUTES LATER, I boarded a bus to Pop. Sheer stubbornness on my part, combined with the vain hope that more buses would enter the route, since Epcot was the only park open.

Not the evening I had hoped for, but that's the way it goes sometimes. I don't know if they cut down capacity during EMH or what, because without FP, I honestly thought both lines would move faster.

I'm afraid it will be pretty crowded because of F&W. I love evening EMH at MK but I've never gone to Epcot for EMH. I think we will try it and be cautiously optimistic.

We went at the end of November, and went to PM EMH at EPCOT. My husbands favorite is TT and we went on over and over, with maybe a 10 minute wait maximum. After illuminations, the park really cleared out. Soarin and frozen were the ones with longer wait times. We'd never been to EMH at EPCOT as we usually go to MK but it was great. I'd give it a try!

Was just in Epcot for PM EMH on Tuesday, 3/7. Completely useless for me in regard to rides. I had a FP+ for Frozen before my dinner, and considered attempting TT or Soarin' if either had a short wait. I finished dinner around 9:30pm and figured I would give it some time for regular guests to trickle out. This was a screenshot I took at 10:04pm.

I ended up enjoying the topiaries at night and wandering the countries in the dark. I would not count on PM EMH for Epcot rides. The AM hours are much better.

October will also be Food & Wine so I imagine more people will linger around longer and stay in Epcot to eat/drink.

That's what I do-LOVE The Showcase during PM EMH!

I tour WS and then hop into ilne for Soarin' right at the end.

We went last June and went to ride Soarin and Test Track about an hour before closing. At Soarin it took us about 10 minutes to get on then went to Test Track we got on in about 10 minutes. I noticed the wait times where posted higher than the actual wait. When it was time to get off Test Track they said want to ride again? They let us stay on and we didn't get off but rode again. That was right at closing when they let ride again without getting off.

Was this for PM Extra Magic Hours?

Yes. I need to correct myself it was not last year after I started thinking about it. It was the year before 2015 in August. I also believe they let us stay on Test Track without getting off because they were testing something because we stopped in the middle of the ride for about 3 minutes or so then it moved on. Unless it does this a lot.

Two years ago when we did an Epcot evening EMH most of the WS closed down at 9pm. We were really disappointed. For some reason I always thought much more in the countries was open during EMH.

Last year we were disappointed to learn that the F&W booths are not open during EMH, this caused longer lines for some of the rides as no one was at the booths.
