So, my husbands family all has these tile things at EPCOT that their faces/names are on. Every time they go they have to find them and look at them. What are they about? What's the purpose :confused3 and what do they cost?

personnally I think it is a waste of money because I see so many faded that one can't even make out what was on it to begin with. Don't know much about them... hopefully they make a donation to a charity, if not it is just a way for Disney to make money. :confused3

We actually wanted one about two years ago. Epcot has discountinued the program (which makes me think eventually they will knock them down) There were still a lot of spaces left which makes me wonder why they wouldn't sell them if they were keeping the area.

My husband and I got one in 2003. It was "free" with our package. We still look for it everytime we go:). They are similar to the "leave a legacy" tiles that you see when you are walking into the MK. They are just ways to leave a memory with your family while on vacation. I do believe that if you didn't get one free you had to pay.

I do remember that they were not intended to stay there forever. I hope this helps.

We have one we got in 2004. I believe they promised them to be there for a minimum of 20 years.

See my avatar......myself & DS and DH & DS.

We got ours in 2003 and they were free with our package,we love looking for them every trip.
We have but never take the exact location so we have a competition to see who finds the first.

Years ago they took a family photo and they "commemmorate" your visit there by plastering it up. We took one years ago. I cringe at it now. But I'm not sure if you can still get them. If you go to the pavillion they'll be able to tell you. We got it done in the park, so if they're available...they're there. Good luck.

From your ticker, it looks like we'll be there at the same time... BOTH staying at the Lodge! HOW EXCITING! Have a magical time!
