Epcot Masks: Worth it?

I think it is something fun for them to do while you walk around WS. DD liked it and we plan on doing another one next trip.

:cool1: They make neat souvenoirs...my three kids 6.8.10 loved doing it. We did passports too (can purchase in the gift shop...10 bucks or we saw some people using a small blank notebook with cardstock kinda like an autograph book). The CM's gave my kids lots of attention and really personalized it for them.
Have fun....BTW, you make one mask per kid and then get a paper trinket that hangs on the mask and the CM's from each countries stamp the stick the mask is attached too. If you collect all stamps and paper trinkets your child gets a surprise. :yay: pixiedust: Check the map in each country for the Kidcot stop. It's not hard and I got to shop around a little without them getting bored before we left each country.

Totally. Our group of kids had a blast doing the masks Ages DD4, DNeices 9 & 4, DS7.

DS was 5 at the time and he absolutely loved it. I loved it. It is free. One of us grownups stayed w/ DS at the kidcot station while the other looked around each country. When DS was through at that staion, we would all wonder around and explore that country, then move on to the next one. It was really fun. I wished they would let me do a mask. (no, I didn't ask....I'm too shy).

Never did the masks, maybe this trip, the Grandsons are now old enough to do the mask and the passport book stamps. We'll be trying this on the upcoming trip.

My DD did the masks twice. Once when she was 3 1/2 and agin when she was 7. This trip she will be 9 and has decided to get a passport instead. It's her birthday this trip and she wants the CM's to write Happy Birthday in all the different languages. Plus, she's a VERY picky colorer and the mask always has to be perfect and for her it takes so much time. I'm glad she decided not to do one this year. But you should really do it al least once, they make a nice souvenier and show-and-tell project.

Where do they make the masks? I have never heard of this-I think DS 7 would love it.

My 7YO loved this. She still has hers from Feb and made it a game to look out for the different stamping areas. Lots of fun!

My DD(now 6) loves doing the masks. The first time she was just under 3 and we didn't start it until Morocco. I think she just got 3 stamps/tags that time. In Sept. 04, she and I, for the one and only time, spent the day at Epcot alone, and she completed her mask, starting in Canada. The last two times while doing her masks, she has also done an extra one for her "best" friend who is 1-1/2 yrs. older than her. Her friend loved getting it. :cloud9: We have kept all 4 masks, along with the things she's done at the Kidcot stations. She loves doing it, and would do them for hours, if I would let her. :rotfl2:

So, definitely do it. The CM in Japan are always very nice-most of the times they've written her name in Japanese, along with Happy Birthday, one time. :cheer2:

Kids make the masks at the Kid Cot Funstops at the World Showcase in Epcot. The Funstops should be listed on your map. My kids loved it. They still have them hanging in their room. We will do it again! Great Souvineer from Epcot for free!

My daughter who was 8 last summer when we went loved it, all the now 9 year old is talking about is making a mask to match the first!!! So I think it is worth it!!!! Not only that it is a FREE souvenir and YA GOTTA LOVE FREE

My DD doesn't color her mask. She doesn't want to take up "Park" time coloring. We save it for her to color during down time, car ride, plane ride. She likes to plan it out without feeling rushed.
