We want to book LLMP at Epcot on our first day, but we aren't getting there until 6. Plan to book Remy and then LWTL after dark to see lights.

For our third, can we book Figment or something for very early in day when we aren't there and when that time passes can we make another reservation and try for Frozen or Soarin? Or do we need to actually tap into ride? Or can you not book two hours after your first?

Sorry if this doesn't make sense

You have to actually tap into the park to unlock the tier restrictions. Until you do that you can't get Frozen or Soarin in addition to already holding Remy. All three are Tier 1.

The two hour rule from Genie+ is no longer a factor with LLMP.

Okay, I thought maybe you could book two hours after your first without tapping in, but sounds like no.

Thanks!

I’d just book all three passes for when you’ll actually be there. Booking something early as a “throw away” doesn’t work either.

We booked Remy first thing and tried to get Frozen and it was gone all day. Even tried EE rope drop. We didn’t end up being able to ride Frozen until the last day of our trip when we switched LLMP the night before to Epcot and the first available time was 5:30. Epcot seemed bonkers crazy last week even though touring plans rated it a crowd level 3.

More specifically, I believe you have to tap into your first LL to unlock tier/park restrictions. That's why people want an early LL.

Yes that is the first step. You need to tap into a park where you have your initial LLMP reservations.

And yes you need to tap into one of your LLMP reservations to unlock the Tiers and Multi-Park selection if you have a park hopper. You can't just let it expire. That is why guests often book an early LLMP aka a throwaway to quickly unlock the LLMP features.

For those of you who are saying you have to tap, do you know this from experience?

I can't remember the channel, but a youtuber reported he could book a 4th as soon as the 1st one expired. So, not essential to actually tap, just that it's gone. He said he tested it multiple times at multiple parks.

Yes, in order to book a 4th, you will need to use 1, and you have to tap in to unlock additional Tier 1 rides. We ran into this at HS when other members of our party were not at the park for our 1st LL.

There may be two different issues in play here. One, can you book another LL when your first one expires? Two, can you book in any tier or park when your first LL expires if you haven't tapped into one yet? You must tap into an LL to unlock the tier and park restrictions. If you just book a throwaway Tier 2 and let it expire before you have entered the park, you cannot then book a Tier 1 to replace it. All you can do is book another Tier 2 to replace it. So, you really haven't gained any advantage when it comes to rebooking.

You may have been watching an old video of Genie+?
@Skywatcher1206 and @Tom_E_D are correct.

Well stated! The wording really matters for explaining this. You're right. It is two questions.

I'm still seeing some mixed reports elsewhere. Maybe it's bloggers who happened to be poking at the system when it was not fully locked in yet, but I'm going to book Star Tours as early as possible on the day we will be arriving late at Hollywood Studios. It's not going to hurt my plans or anyone else's.

You will be able to book another Tier 2 attraction at DHS after ST expires but the tiers and parks will not be unlocked until you actually tap into your first LLMP.

Please let us know if you have a different experience.

There are a lot of bloggers/vloggers who act like they are Disney experts but they aren't official sources of information and they can say whatever they want. Accuracy varies widely and it's unchecked. There is a lot of knowledge here on these forums and if something incorrect is posted it usually gets challenged.

Related question: we have parkhopper tickets that still require park reservations.

Our first park day will be EP / MK, and our last park day will be MK / EP.

I'd planned to Remy on the EP / MK day, but looking at LL availability I'm concerned we won't be able to get an early enough return time before we park hop since we're booking that one just 7 days in advance. But i just ran our MK morning and realized we're only going to need an ILL at MK and won't need LLMP that morning.

If I want to buy our LLMP for late arival at Epcot, I think I can:
  • Make our park reservations to Epcot, & then
  • Book/buy the Epcot LLMP, & then
  • Switch our park reservation to MK?

Yes no problem as long as there are Park reservations for your ticket type when you switch from Epcot to MK. Are you going during a very busy / popular time?

I was not particularly worried about it because parks have been very available when I've checked over the past few months.
Then I just went back to check today. Hmmm maybe it should be a bigger concern! We'll be at the very end of the holiday period but Magic Kingdom is already gone for Friday 1/02 and this will be for Monday 1/06.

That's why I asked because the only time the Park reservations hit a bump is when you might want to use it. Monday 1/6 should be OK as the big wave of guests will have already left for home before then. However there is still the ramp up to Marathon activities for 1/8 - 1/12.

It might still be possible to make a Park reservation switch right after you purchase your LLMP for Epcot to MK. Next chance would be right before 7 AM or right after on 1/6 in a worst case situation.
