We leave on Sat. and was wondering how much time we should allow for each pavillion in Epcot? Is there alot to see in them or just the movies and shops?

Has anyone been to Epcot recently during the F&W Festival? They say that there are other pavillions there with food but do these pavillions consist of anything else or is it just a food booth? Was not sure how much time we should allow for these if there is something to see?

Does anyone have opinons on the shows offered, for example Off Kilter? I would like to see alot of them but the times are not always the best to work into our itinerary.

We love Epcot, it's our favorite Park. We go everyday of our trips, so it's hard to guage exactly how long we spend in any one place.

But, there are other things besides shops & movies in some of the Pavillions - like in Norway, there's the Stave Church with exhibits inside. Mexico, China & Japan also have exhibits to name a few. Morocco offers a tour. The Gardens in several Pavillions are amazing, esp. the Rainforest in Mexico. I could easily spend 1.5 hours in each pavillion & have done so. KIds love the Kidcot stops. Mexico has a cool e-mail postcard to make & send.

My favorite "Streetmosphere" in WS is Mo'rockin'. I have to see them each trip. I also love the Daiko drummers in Japan & the acrobats in China.

Most of the F&W Festival booths are just food. There are a couple exceptions. Australia & America both offer a Wine Tasting "walkabout" that is fun for adults.

Everybody has different tastes & different interests, so it's hard to say how much time you're going to want to spend in WS. If you love World Culture like I do, you could spend all day, many days there. If history & humantity aren't your thing, you would probably be happy with much less time.

Off Kilter are worth MAKING the time to see. Don't miss them. :thumbsup2

We just spent an evening at Epcot enjoying the Food and Wine festival. Each booth is just devoted to two samplings of an 'entree', a dessert, and beer and wine. But there are a few temporary pavilions that are set up with information about various things, such as American wines. And don't forget about Eat to the Beat! We just saw Loverboy, who went over really well. The lead singer has about 150 more pounds on him than the did in his prime, but man...can he belt out a song!

Most of what you will find in Epcot's World Showcase is shopping and dining, but it's terrific shopping and dining. There is a great variety of street entertainment, all of it worth seeing. You could spend an entire evening doing nothing but watching the street performers.

We love Epcot. Even though my favorite park is always the park I am in at the moment, Epcot holds a special place in my heart. I hope you enjoy it, too! :)

We always allow a day and a half for EPCOT. That way we can ride rides more than once and spend enough time on WS...there's lots of exploring to do!

I agree that it can vary greatly depending on your interests. World Showcase has become our very favorite area of Disney, but when my kids were younger we didn't spend much time there.

I personally love the shows that are available. The backside of the EPCOT times guide has all the times for each show, so check it out. Some of my personal favorites are:

America: Voices of Liberty (singing group that is awesome!) Performances usually end around 5 pm.

Italy/UK: World Showcase Players. This is an impromptu comedy group that does a couple of different skits, heavy on audience participation. I have laughed and laughed at several of these!

Italy: Sergio. This is a mime/juggler who is really fun to watch.

China: Acrobats. It's amazing what these guys can do with their bodies!

Japan: Miyaki the candy lady. She makes individual hard candy animals for audience members. Hard to describe but amazing to watch.

Drummers. This is another neat show to watch/listen to. There are usually 3 young adults playing gigantic drums. Again, hard to describe but neat to see.

France: The chair guy. This was cool the first time, but it's not one I see over and over again because it doesn't change.

Morocco: I personally find MoRockin too loud. I guess I'm just getting old. I usually listen from the bridge by France and the music is good, but I can't hang there.

UK, British Invasion. I've only caught bits and pieces of this because my kids won't sit still for it, but I liked it!

Canada: Off Kilter is a rock band that plays bagpipes. They are really fun! And they are good at interacting with the audience.

As far as shows or other attractions, there are movies in: Canada, France, America, China and Norway. The Canada and China movies are standing and in the round. The others are in a theater. The Norway movie is after the boat ride, but you can walk through the theater if you don't want to stay. I personally think that the Canada and Norway movies aren't worth the time.

Mexico and Norway have boat rides that usually have little or no wait.

Enjoy!

Are these exhibits open during late EMH or just specific attractions at Norway, Mexico and American Pavillions?

I would allow at least an hour in the land, the living seas, and Imagination pavillions each. These have rides/shows and other exhibits. There's a lot to do. In WS, I would try to catch the acrobats in China, Sergio in Italy, the living statues in Italy (known as imaginum) server amusant in France (really entertaining) and of course, maelstrom boat ride in Norway and impressions de france show in France, and I almost forgot, see voices of liberty and the american adventure in the USA pavillion. I've never been to the food and wine, but I think the other pavillions just have food. Some might have some entertainment near the food booth area, but I'm really not too sure.
