I only plan to eat one table service meal at Epcot during our trip and I can't seem to pick which one. I currently hold an APR for San Angel Inn but keep hearing bad things about it. However, my boyfriend is from Central America and I don't want it to be really bad and unauthentic.

I think Marakkesh sounds cool, we have been debating about Chefs du France. I have been to Paris but I would like my boyfriend to try new things too. (We are HUGE wine and cheese fans) The chinese restaurant sounds good, but you can get chinese anywhere... Can someone help me sort out my thoughts? :confused3

Oh! And, Le Cellier does get great reviews from everyone but we're from Canada :rotfl:

If you want something romantic I think San Angel Inn is the best bet. The food is not the best Mexican food I have ever had but it's also not BAD food. We don't have enormously high expectations of WDW food, though.

My wife hated San Angel. It is one of the few disney restaurants she refuses to go back. The most romantic is probably Le Cellier although it can get a little loud. San Angel I am not sure if it is more romantic or just plain dark.

I would cancel San Angel. The food is not so great and the service is terrible. We had such a bad experience a few years ago that we decided to give it a second try thinking it was maybe just a bad night the first time. What a mistake---food was barely ok and the service was worse than we remembered!

My wife also hated San Angelo; she loves Mexican food. Marrakesh is really a fun place and the food is good. Our sevice was excellent and the show was really a lot of fun.

Marrakesh is really fun, we enjoy 'getting away from it all', there. But, since you're big wine and cheese fans IMHO you might enjoy France or even Italy more.

My vote would be for Marrakesh as well. The food at San Angel was BAD!! We ate there because I was really craving Mexican food, so it served that purpose, but otherwise I'd say skip it. On occasion, when we're talking about good meals we've had at Disney (which have been quite a few), we still mention how the Mexican food was a waste of our time.

Marrakesh had fantastic food and a great atmosphere. The belly dancer was a lot of fun too!

I loved San Angel. I loved the atmosphere. I loved the food. The waitress was H-O-T hot! :earseek:

My wife thought the food was OK, but she normally hates mexican food. I thought that was testament to how good the food really was. She agreed that waitress was attractive.

My kids were tired and cranky, and they mostly gorged themselves on chips and salsa while ignoring their dinners. They made no comment about the hotness of our waitress, but they were 1 and 4 years old respectively, so what would they know. :rotfl:

i totally agree

Considering all of the facts, including the hot waitress (which is a good reason :rotfl: ), I'm going to cancel the San Angel... and book Marrakesh. I like different stuff! And, maybe we'll get some crepes or something for lunch to satisfy you-know-who. Whew... :earsboy:

san angel inn was basically expensive taco bell or maybe chi chis so i doubt your bf would think of it as"home cooking" ( used to be great but went sliding down hill) but it is a nice atmosphere

we did have a good meal at chefs a few yrs ago. and i think the atmosphere is nice

we had good fooe at beirgarten but it gets a 0 on the romantic scale

The cheese plate in the French bakery is great. And Marrakesh has some nice
meals also. The cheese plate consist of 3 cheeses and some fruit and you also get a baquet or small loaf of bread. That alone was lunch for me 1 day.

Of all the restaurants in world showcase, I would say Le Cellier consistantly gets the best reviews on disboards. They have wine and cheese soup :flower: I love Teppanyaki, too.
