Does anyone know if the area that is right outside the International Gateway entrance was used for bus transportation at one time or another.

I've been going to Epcot since 1984, but only in the last 3 years or so have we used the International Gateway and it's been driving me nuts as to what it was used for or if it was intended for use and never was etc. It looks like to me a very nice bus depot.

Please help my obsession.

So far as I know it was never used, or intended for use by, busses.

The large space there is often rented out though for corporate parties and events. they put up a very large tent and all sorts of fun stuff seems to go on in there. I have never personally been invited but the food going in has looked great.

The area that "looks like a bus depot" was orignally used as a tram station - similar to those used to transport people between the parking lots and the theme park entrances. I remember it being used to transport people to the BWI/BWV right after they opened. Believe it was prior to the boat transportation, but am not entirely sure about that.

Best wishes -

It was a tram load/unload area for the Dolphin/Swan while BWI/BWV's were under construction.
