Epcot hotels during food/wine festival

Do you think that all the hotels/restaurants in the boardwalk or Epcot areas will be mobbed during this time? I wanted to stay at one of these hotels, but I'm picturing standing in line for an hour to get a cup of coffee!

The DVC side of these resorts has been fully booked for months, and other than Concierge, I think YC, BC and BI are fully booked already. YOu might find something at the Swan or Dolphin tho. As for the restaurants, I don't think it will be much harder than any other time of year, as most of the festivities are going on at Epcot (tho there are vertical wine tastings at the BC).

Good luck!

I was there last year at the Boardwalk around Halloween for 4 days (weekdays not weekends). And no it wasn't crowded at the hotels or at Epcot either. Granted, towards meal time, you'd have some people in lines at the booths but not usually more than 5 or so. Others may differ. And I NEVER would wait an hour in line for ANYTHING including any and all Disney attractions. Half hour is pushing it.
That being said, getting reservations and a good rate at an Epcot hotel may be a bit more difficult during this time. I recall no availability whatsoever at the Swan and Dolphin (big convention time), rack rate at the Yacht and Beach, and somewhat lower than rack at Boardwalk but no great bargain like they have running now until the end of September. And this was with an AP and Florida resident status(father).
On another note, the Food and Wine festival is absolutely fantastic and I'm going back for more this year. I haven't made plane reservations to fly down unitl I can get availability of a room. I want that flexibility so I am one of the multitudes awaiting October AP rates.

I have ressies for BC Oct. 5 - 10 and the resort is already sold out for these dates (so is YC). I was hoping for an AP rate but I guess my AAA rate is all that is going to happen.

You won't stand in line, as everyone will be over at the Festival (and the DVC rooms all have kitchens or coffee facilities in the rooms) but it's pretty late to get a room. You might get lucky if there is a cancellation, but everything has been sold out for months. Swan/Dolphin might be a possible, but I have read on these boards that some time periods for that has been sold out, also.

We just booked at the BWI for 11/11-11/15. The rates w/ AAA for a standard room were $245/night + tax. I would definitely try soon. See you there.
