We've hired an outside photographer (Randy Chapman), so we get the Honeymoon photo shoot in exchange. We're already going to do an MK Bridal Session, so I was thinking of doing our Honeymoon shoot at Epcot. Has anyone had experience with this? Since world showcase opens later in the day, will they do they shoot before it opens? For those of you who have done it, how many countries did you get to choose, if there's a limit?

We did the honeymoon shoot at Epcot in December. Yes, they will do the shoot before World Showcase opens (ours was at 9am). I think we were told we could choose two countries, but we didn't have any preferences so just let our photographer take us where she wanted. She ended up taking us to three countries: France, Morocco, and Italy. If you're interested, feel free to take a look at our pictures:

Hope that helps! :goodvibes

We did the "Honeymoon" shoot on December 1st at Epcot as well (we used ours for engagement pictures). Our photographer was great! We did all of the countries (about 3-4 pictures per country). On the Disney website it says that you only get 20 pictures but we received all of the pictures that were on the website. We had such a great time and will be doing it again for our real Honeymoon (maybe MK or Animal Kingdom this time though). The album they put the pictures in is very nice too. I just don't have enough nice things ot say about the experience! (Except it was hot :) ). The whole thing took about an hour, we started at 10 a.m. so we were done just as WS was opening to the public. The photo session has to be scheduled before WS opens to the public. I was so glad that I didn't have to pick a country as I loved them all and had been debating the whole week about what country I would choose.

This is exactly what we are doing! :thumbsup2

I was told that they only do the honeymoon shoots in the World Showcase and they told us it had to be scheduled between 9-3. We chose 9:30 a.m. for the specific purpose that WS is not open so we will not have randoms in the background. She told us due to the shoot only being an hour they can do only about 2 countries. I was told that Italy was beautiful because you can get a perfect shot of the water and the "ball" behind you. Since I am italian that was a no brainer. We also chose France, because Rosie told us she thought that was the next best beautiful location besides Italy.

Good Luck!:goodvibes

When do you get to choose this option? We are also hiring Randy Chapman to photograph the ceremony etc so I also want to have an Epcot photo shoot. We are having the MK Bridal shoot so don't really want to go with MK again. We have this booked for the day after the wedding at 05.00am, ideally I would like to get my Epcot shoot booked earlier rather than later, does this get done months from now, or should I ask my coordinator about this?

my coord emailed me the info about this today. it says that you can choose any of the 4 parks in the info she emailed, but she told me that i could only choose between epcot and mgm. i'm going to call her tomorrow to see what the real story is. i think though that we are going to choose mgm because that seems so fun!

Thanks for the photo links....I'm reassured this is what we want to do.

Summer-Caitlin - I'm not sure when you book it. I think you can book it whenever, as long as you know that you have an outside photographer booked. I told my WC that we were having outside photography, and she just said that we get this shoot in exchange and to think about where to do it.

I know sometimes Disney fees are funny (like some people pay them and others don't) but I just wanted to give you a heads up that when we booked our honeymoon shoot at Epcot, Rosie told us it's $50 to shoot anywhere other than the Magic Kingdom. Don't know why. We went with Epcot because like some of you, we're doing the castle shot at MK and didn't want to repeat the experience! Just didn't want anyone to be surprised when they get their final bill!

That's really strange! I wonder if that's new?? On the Disney Photography website it says all locations are $295, that would be kind of sneaky to throw another $50 on the bill without them letting anyone know. :scratchin

Maybe that's only if you go with an outside photographer for the wedding and then get the honeymoon shoot. Not if you pay for the honeymoon shoot. I don't know. I'm confused. :)

I'm pretty sure the $50 fee is just if you go with an outside photographer for the wedding and do the honeymoon shoot as a substitute. :)
