We have our ADR's pretty much figured out except for Epcot.

We have already eaten at LeCellier so that's is not a choice this time.
We are considering: Rose & Crown (and might want to go to get a seat before Illuminations). Chefs de France, and Tutto Italia. They are are main 3 choices and can only chose one since we have one TS credit left. All three have reviews that are about the same and all three seem fine to us. They are 3 completely different places and atmospheres.

Any other suggestions for Epcot would be great too. DH doesn't really want Mexican food or to eat in Germany. We are already doing California Grill, 50's Prime Time Cafe & Cape May Clambake.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! :thumbsup2

We sooooo enjoyed Tutto Italia....Hubby had the steak and it melted in his mouth....delishish....
Alot of other choices there and I didnt hear one bad remark about it...
HOpe you have a great time

I'm a big fan of the Rose and Crown. Love the Bangers and Mash. I really enjoy the atmosphere there, and, if you can manage to reservation so that you can see Illuminations, even better. The service is also very good.

We ate at Tutto Italia again last week & loved it. It was our 3rd time eating there & every experience has been good. Our server was fantastic and just the overall ambience of the place is really nice. We have 3 kids and this is always one of their favorites. We paid OOP since we were not on the dining plan & still felt that it was worth it. We had a 1:20 reservation and the place was pretty empty which was nice, it was a great break from the parks.

Never been to Chefs (going for the first time in a few weeks), but out of Rose and Crown and Tutto I'd pick Tutto. Good atmosphere, great food, and great service. I really do like Rose and Crown, too, though! The food just doesn't interest me as much. I usually just hang out in the pub for a little bit each trip

Chefs de France was nice. But our family loves Rose and Crown ( if you like british fare ). As a bonus, if you time it right, you might get a seat on the patio and can be right by the water DURING Illuminations

My suggestion would be to go out the World Showcase exit and take the short walk over to the Boardwalk to eat at Kouzzina.

It is one table service credit, but in my opinion, it is good enough to be bumped up to signature status. They certainly give enough attention to menu to justify the move.

We tried Rose & Crown our last trip (Dec 2010) and we didn't like the experience. Food was at best, just OK. Service was very slow.

How about Teppan Edo?

Love Rose & Crown. The food and service have always been top notch. My favorites are the Shepards Pie, mushy peas and sticky toffee pudding. If you aren't seated outside, you can still go outside to watch Illuminations.

I would recommend Tutto BUT be aware that they are closing for a refurb Jan - April 2012; there is some concern that the menu may also be refurb'd. Could get better. Could get worse. Unless Italian food is the overwhelming choice, I think I'd go for Rose & Crown. Chances are not strong for getting an outside table to watch Illuminations, but the possibility exists. Food is pretty good. Adult beverages are a bonus.

We ate at Rose & Crown last week. I had a 7:35pm ADR in hopes of staying at our table or going to the viewing platform for Illuminations. Apparently, Rose & Crown is a very popular place at that time because it took us 15 minutes just to get through the line to check in at the hostess stand. Took another 25 mins to be seated. We got a spot on the upper patio but the lower patio had an awning. We were able to stay at our table during Illuminations, but we couldn't see some of the higher fireworks. I had the fish & chips which was good, nothing special, and my BF had bangers & mash which he wasn't fond of. Desserts and apps were both mediocre.

Teppan Edo is cool if you have never been to a hibachi restaurant or don't have one near you. But if you do, the one on your hometown probably will be better. They also don't have fried rice which is a shame because that's the best part for me!

Is Via Napoli a choice for you? We had an excellent meal there last week and the atmosphere is cool, really nice inside. If that wasn't available, we would have done Tutto because I love Italian food. If you are going in early 2012, they are going to be closed for a few months for refurbishments though.

I know its not on your list... but VIA NAPOLI! :thumbsup2

When we ate there Dh and I shared the candele pasta and a pizza. It was fantastic:) and their fruit drinks are good too:)

I'd rank them in this order:
Chefs de France - Great food and service. Was on our "every year" list for a long time until I made the family try some different things rather than the same thing year after year.
Tutto Italia - Also very good. I had lamb chops there a couple years ago that I truly enjoyed.
Rose & Crown - Not particularly good in our opinion. Dined there twice a number of years ago and haven't see a reason to go back.

I like Rose & Crown. They have some good things on the menu and if you are lucky you may get an outside table for Illuminiations.

I believe the OP said they are on the DDP and I do not believe Teppan Edo is one of the choices.

Rose and Crown if my favorite restaurant in Epcot. I've eaten there 3 times and loved it each time. Also tried Les Chefs de France twice and while it was good, neither time was as enjoyed as much as Rose and Crown.

Thanks for all the replies and so quickly! I have never come across any message boards where you get such a quick response to a question!

I know DH isn't thrilled with Japanese style places where they cook in front of you which is why I didn't have Teppan Edo on the list. I will mention it to him but I doubt it. It was on the 2011 Dining Plan. The 2012 Dining Plan list just isn't complete yet.

I did read that Tutto Italia may go to 2 TS credits after renovations which would totally eliminate it from my list accept for lunch. The renovations will be done before our visit which isn't until September.

I must have totally missed Kouzzina at the Boardwalk so I will add that to my list, I checked the menu and it sounds great!!

I will also put Via Napoli on there too after checking their menu.

We have eaten at Raglan Road and did enjoy that. Rose & Crown we have stopped in maybe once or twice for a drink before, but never ate there. I know it will probably be a busy atmosphere for dinner since they do get a lot of in and out traffic.

I am so glad I have a while to decide. :surfweb:

Rose and Crown is fantastic if you can get an outside table. Try and get a 7:40 reservation, and arrive about 20 minutes early and ask for an outside spot. This is what a dining reservationist told me to do, and it worked like a charm. We were seated on the lower balcony (next to Erik Estrada, no less! lol) in the front and we could see everything PERFECTLY. The timing was perfect, they brought out our dessert 5 minutes before Illuminations started. Our party of 7 all thought it was one of the highlights of our trip.
