Has anyone booked one of these? Is there a minimum number of people?

We want to have an anniversary party and see Illiminations in Epcot. Our other option is to get an Illuminations Cruise but we would need two boats to handle our party size and they can not be booked until 90 days out and then no guarantee that I can get them. I guess there are only five in total.

I have contacted, via email, the meetings department but I am waiting to hear the details.

I figured someone here has probably done this and could give me some ideas of costs and minimums.

I suspect that the 14 adults, 1 child and 2 infants we have will not be enough.

Could I recruit a few paying DisBoard members to become "family" for the event?:lmao:

I know that if I knew someone was doing this I would pay the per person food charge to be able to join them. :confused3 :rotfl:

Hopefully I will hear back from Disney today.

We are thinking of using the upper patio by Rose and Crown as I hear there are tables and chairs already there. That would be great as this would be for my parents 69th anniversary and a few places to sit would be appreciated by them.

Any one have any good hints or ideas on this?

Last I looked the following applies

The venue charge is from $200 to $500, depending on which location. For example the "Upper French Island" is $200 (this is the upper level of the area between the bridges between UK and France).

There is a charge of $75 for them to put in tables and chairs, which would not otherwise be there.

There is an assortment of menus; the lowest price assortment is about $22 per person and there is a 20 person minimum.

Note there is a 22% Service charge on the menu and 6.5% tax is charged on the menu and venue rental.

And normally they will allow you in starting at 8:00 and you are expected to leave shortly after IllumiNations ends.

Even though the minimum is 20 people, you can still do this with a smaller group. But..you will have to meet the food/beverage minimums.
