Hi All-

I searched but cannot find this particular answer. What would be the best way to get to EPCOT for an 8am breakfast from the GF? I don't mind taking a cab if necessary, but I want to know what I need to do ahead of time. FYI - the date will be 1/25 (Thursday).

Many thanks!

Define best. Fastest? Cheapest?

Uber/Lyft/taxi will be fastest, but not cheapest.
Disney transportation will be cheapest (free), but not particularly fast.

Sure! Best as in "what will get me there in time". From what I understand, there is no bus. If this is the case, it would be only monorail thru Disney and that involves a switch at TTC. Is that reliable at 7(ish) am? My breakfast is at 8, which means I can't roll up to the gate at 8, but rather be at the restaurant by then.

Thanks for the help!

If I were you, I'd probably just hop in a Uber/Lyft, or a cab if you'd feel more comfortable about that. It'll be much faster and less of a hassle than having to transfer.

Not sure about your traveling party, but you can request an Uber with a car seat. Lyft has no such vehicles. The on-site Minnie Vans, which are operated through Disney but run on Lyft app technology, have two car seats. The Minne Van price is $20 flat, no tip needed.

Thanks so much! My girls are beyond the car seat age, but not beyond the "I want to ride in a Minnie Van" age. It looks like we'll be aiming for that!

For Epcot PPO breakfasts from any of the monorail resorts, I typically opt for Uber/Lyft/Taxi/Minnie Van. It gives you a far more precise level of control over the situation than the monorail.

If you do opt for the monorail, the Epcot line ‘generally’ has been starting at 7:30AM lately, but that can always change. You can see this week’s monorail hours here, just for reference: http://www.orlandoparksnews.com/p/weekly-walt-disney-world-times-guides.html

That means you need to be at the TTC taking that first Epcot monorail at 7:30AM, which means you’d probably want to take the Resort monorail around at 7ish. Just too tight/too close for my sanity, especially when Uber/Lyft/Taxi/Minnie Van is so easy.

When it comes to the Minnie Vans... if you pull the app up that AM and don’t see any near or it has a longer wait than you’d like, bail and use Uber/Lyft if any better, or taxi. There are usually taxis in the parking lot waiting, so that can be a choice that gives almost instant results.

Good luck!
