Epcot Group A (choose 1):
  • IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth
  • Living with the Land = what we like
  • Soarin' - what we like
  • Test Track
Epcot Group B (choose 2):
  • Captain EO
  • Character Spot
  • Journey Into Imagination = we would consider
  • Mission: SPACE
  • Spaceship Earth = what we like
  • The Seas with Nemo & Friends
  • Turtle Talk with Crush

We could do FP+ Saorin' and our 2 selected B in the AM then try for Living with the Land FP+ for the afternoon.

Do you think it will be possible?
Time Frame mid-October at WDW

Wow living with the land normal has a 10 minute wait are you sure it is in group A

Ok just looked and it is in group A. But right now it is a 10 minute wait. I do not think you will have any problem walking on the ride any time of day

You could walk right on to LWTL right at RD. Make your FP for Soarin for 9:00 ish so you can go straight there after getting off the boat. LWTL builds quite long lines later in the morning as people get off Soarin or are waiting to go on it.

Agree with what others saying, on last trip LWTL standby line would sometimes strangely swell to 30 minutes mid-morning. It was bizarre, never seen anything like that on other low-crowd trips before FP+.

I have no experience getting additional kiosk FP+ at Epcot, our plan was FW in the morning and WS in the afternoon and we assumed that there'd be no FP left for TT/Soarin'. I would think in mid-October you should be able to get a 4th FP for LWTL no problem, but not sure you would need it, I figure the LWTL standby line decreases in the afternoon.

My Epcot plan with those rides would be to ride Soarin' standby at rope drop. Then LWTL standby. Then use FP for Spaceship Earth and Figment (even though probably not necessary). Then ride Soarin' with FP before noon.

Agreed that you don't need a FP for LwtL if you hit it early. (We rode it with zero minutes wait at about 8:20am a few weeks ago on an AM EMH morning.)

Living With The Land at the most we waited 20 minutes, the line moves fast. I wouldn't waste the fast pass on it or Journey Into Imagination

Do not waste an A tier FP+ on Living with the Land. The ride itself is longer than any wait I've ever seen for it. Get Soarin' and don't give it a second thought. If you are struggling for a 2nd B tier, make it for anything and make it first thing in the AM, with your other tier B and Tier A FP+ shortly afterwards. That way you can try for a 2nd FP+ at Soarin' later in the day and if you miss out on that, I'm 100% certain one for Living with the Land will be available.

We are early AM EMH risers - or rope drop - which every is available

So we will do Living with the Land in the early AM and FP+ Soarin'

Thank you for the advice:)

I am finally getting the know-how of FP+ and how it has changed the wait times on rides which were not so popular before.

It was often over an HOUR wait when we were there earlier this month. It was crazy! It used to be a go to ride for us, but we only rode it once all week. I think people see it as their 1 and think it is this great thing they have to ride.

Go on LWTL at rope drop? Not necessary. Go on Soarin at rope drop and get a second ride with your FP+. Go on LWTL after Soarin at rope drop with no problem. DH and I usually take turns doing Soarin while the other goes on LWTL with the little kids. We finish at about the same time.

You can catch Living with the Land many times during the day with little to no wait. We rode three times on 9-10 crowd level days with 5 min or less wait.

Living with the Land is Tier 1?

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha...what a joke.

I'd make Spaceship Earth Tier 1 before LWTL. During Spring Break on Easter Saturday my wife and daughter did Soarin FP at 5pm and I took my DS3 on LWTL and it had about a 15 minute wait on a 9 level day. Usually when they do Soarin we walk right on LWTL. I was surprised we had to wait 15 minutes for it. My son loved the crocodiles (the animatronic crocs and the real baby crocs.)

Most of Tier 2 seemed to be wasted FP+. (this was late June and 9-10 crowd level days) I took them but what a waste to wait for our FP window, Spaceship Earth was walk on or less than 5 min earth to walk up to loading and of course Nemo is nearly always 5-10 min but the walk thru is fun to look at.

Also Mission Space seemed to always be 10 min or so when we were near. Test Track and Soarin' varied from 30/45 min near rope drop to 90-125 min later in day.

Our second Spaceship Earth FP+ we didn't bother with the scheduled time but did ride it three times on our trip.

Also rode Living with Land twice and Nemo/Seas twice. Can't wait till they change tiering and or allow for more than one park for FP+ in one day.

I think that if they had the capacity to do either of those, they would have done so already.

Allowing a change to more than one park per day really would defeat tiering, which is there to counter their low capacity for family friendly rides in DHS and Epcot.
