going to ep Aug 13 (recommended day). I can't decide on the 3rd fp. Would it be better to get turtle talk or spaceship earth? Or does it even matter? We want to do both.

We are planning to get to the park by 9am. Have test track around 11am and askershus at 12:30. DD wants the meet and greet and that is currently at 1:50 but could be changed to evening maybe? We plan to leave the park after the m&g. (I actually would like to make that fp a little earlier or later.) Then come back in the pm, maybe around 5pm. We are at blt so take the monorail. We have adr at Cape May at 6:40, then plan to come back for fireworks. What would you recommend?

Please help. Now I feel I'm more confused than when I started. Seems like we won't have much time for the mid-day break with this plan. Hmmm...

I've done Turtle Talk with and without FP+ and seriously have not seen it make any difference. The only reason I've ever FP'd it at all was because I had to take a FP for something and was going to check out the Crush-dude anyway.

I'd go with SE.

I really don't think it matters either. From my experience the line at spaceship earth moves quite quickly and turtle talk I have never seen have an excessively long line, but it appears others have.

FP+ thread found HERE. Read post #1 and #2 for FP+ recommendations and timing advice.

Spaceship Earth gets longer lines than in the past. I've never seen a long line for Turtle Talk.

I can't speak for Turtle Talk, but on our trip in April, Spaceship Earth was one of the rides we found most affected by FP+. Because of the FP+ tiers, lots of people are Fastpassing SE before noon, all those people returning with FP can cause the standby line to crawl. If you're planning Test Track FP 11am, I would get SE FP 10am. Around 10am, you might not need it, but it could have 30 minute wait by 11am.

Definitely Spaceship Earth. Turtle talk doesn't need a FP at all. However with SE, it's not uncommon to see it at a 30 min wait.

Another for Spaceship Earth. It consistently had 30 minute waits during my trip in May. The only wait we had for Turtle Trek was for the last show to end.

The last few times I've been to Epcot, the SE line was 30 minutes or more. But I've never not gotten into the next show of Turtle Talk, even w/o FP. So I would definitely FP SE.

It does sound like you won't have much of a break with the current plan, once you factor in transit times. If you can't change the FP times, I would just plan a relaxing afternoon at Epcot and not waste the time going back and forth.

Thanks for all the replies. I was thinking SE might be the better choice. I just wasn't sure. Now I'll play with the times. Maybe I'll try for se in the p.m., do the m&g first, then tt, then askershus. That may work.

I feel better with your input. Thanks!

WE had a FP for Turtle Talk and I think SE last October. Both attractions had pretty long SB lines, which really surprised me. Given a choice, I would FP SE because that line can get uncomfortable in teh sun in August.

Total FP+ newbie here - but, I think if you FP Spaceship for the morning, you would have the opportunity to try and book a 4th FP at a kiosk before leaving the park. This would give you a shot at having a FP for a different ride when you return in the evening.

SPACESHIP EARTH. The line was crazy pretty much all the time when we were there the past two weeks. It may be less crazy when you're there, but it will likely still have a wait.

The only time we waited for Turtle Talk was waiting for the next show. ;)

Yeah SE has absolutely been getting longer SB lines than in years past. Current wait for it is 25 minutes expected. 21 minutes actual. Crush is 16 minutes right now.

Thanks for the additional info. It sounds like SE is definitely the way to go. I may also try for the 4th fp later for turtle talk, but it sounds like it might not be too much of an issue. Maybe we will try turtle talk 1st thing. Thanks for sharing your experiences. It is helpful to know what people experienced while actually there. Very helpful!

I'd also vote for Spaceship Earth. The queue wasn't moving well either time we rode last August and we were grateful for it. We did use one for Turtle Talk, but that literally means we went through a different gate - there was no queue at either ride and we then waited in the same area as the SB guests.

To keep criss-crossing the park to a minimum, personally I would do (in this order in the AM), Turtle Talk, M&G, TT, Akershus (back to BLT for break). Upon return to EP - Spaceship Earth, dinner at Cape May, back to WS for fireworks. Just know with TT, even with a FP+, that line can feel interminably long as you have to go to a waiting room, design your car and then stand in another line to actually get on the ride. With a 12:30 Akershus, I would definitely get in the TT line no later than 11 am so you don't have to run to Norway!
