The sad part is the cheer team. Disqualified because of their parents poor behavior. All the hard work and dedication their children put in was gone because the parents are idiots.

Disney had to put the hammer down, I just feel gutted for the team.

I had not read the whole cheer team was disqualified. What a shame the whole team suffered because of 3 parents. They must feel like idiots.

I’m surprised the other parents didn’t say get your butt out of the fountain, you’re representing the team! All the purple shirts in the picture look nonchalant.

Reminds me of when a guy was caught climbing the pyramid in the Mexico pavillion a few years ago. Nothing surprises me about guest behavior in the parks anymore. It's getting ridiculous.

I don't understand how Disney can disqualify anyone from a competition. Isn't Disney just the building? They don't actually run this kind of thing right?

This is completely unacceptable. There are no Disney words that I can use here.

Their kids paid the price for their stupidity.

This is just plain out and out disrespect for their kids, and the other parents who were following the rules. I feel really bad for the kids who's parents thought it would be okay to do this... their peers are going to especially angry with them, the fall out is going to be huge for those team members.

As a past team mom, and school chaperon 13 years if you count kindergarten. I can tell you that 100% Disney is very clear on behavior, and what is expected from everyone from students to parents. In most cases the school or teams make you sign a code of conduct.

This could also effect the team in the years to come, they might not be allowed to compete..

Just like how they had to put one at the main pool at Coronado Springs when a kid tried to climb that pyramid. Parents weren't paying attention obviously.

It is likely that the governing body for the sport did the disqualifying as they may have stipulations about behavior. I am sure that Disney shared the information with them and helped formulate the punishment though.
