Just like how they had to put one at the main pool at Coronado Springs when a kid tried to climb that pyramid. Parents weren't paying attention obviously.

I don't understand how Disney can disqualify anyone from a competition. Isn't Disney just the building? They don't actually run this kind of thing right?

Of course they control this type of thing. Disney is very clear on what is expected, from students and parents. As well the competition have rules to follow, codes of conduct.

I’ve seen such signs at other fountains and decorative pools elsewhere.

This behaviour is ridiculous - no question, but is there more to the story? Did they resist immediately getting out once confronted? Did an altercation ensue? Did they damage the property somehow? Was violence or illegality at play? Three people violating a rule (and to me, honestly it looks like a booze-fueled photo op) would warrant ejection from the park and maybe those individuals being forced to vacate a Disney hotel. But for the entire team to be disqualified for something no actual member of it did, seems unfair and extreme.

I could not read the shirts. It's clear they are a group of some sort and cheerleaders are currently at Disney, but cheer teams come from all over. The article gave the specifics of where they are from.

Yea, I mean I guess I am unfamiliar with the high standards of Canadian cheerleading and decorum required at all times. Parents on their own time acting like morons, who aren't even at the event, can disqualify the whole team? This seems harsh.

I'm not sure how you have any cheer competitions if parents can't ever act like idiots.

I agree. Were they just parents there to watch their kids or were they coaches? Maybe that makes a difference.

I expect the kids are mortified. I can't imagine having to admit to your friends that your parents ruined this for everyone. Those poor kids probably feel like they'll never live it down.
