Epcot for a 6year old

Both! They are so different. My kids ages 4, 6 and 9 love MK and Epcot. Sometimes they say Epcot is their favorite park. Of course, you can't go to WDW without seeing the MK. My kids love going to science centers and museums with hands on activities. Epcot has a lot of that. You can also find a lot to do inside without waiting in long lines. Epoct is a great place to be if the parks are busy, hot or raining. Many people think kids will be bored at Epcot. Not so.

I would definately take them to Epcot. My 8 year old loves Epcot and has for years. I ti is all you make out of it. A great idea to make the children more excited about the countries is to get them a passport and have them collect stamps from each country and make a mask and collect a new "charm" in each country. It is sort of like a scavenger hunt and the kids love it. Good luck. I hope your child loves it as much as mine does.

DD was 5 and 1/2 in Feb. and we did the passport and mask around the countries and she loved it. She thought it was really neat how people would say her name or spell it (Japan, Morrocco etc.) She also loved Crush and Figment. We had a great time in Epcot as well as MK. :earsgirl:

The last time we went our son  the characters and having them autograph his book! THEY are everywhere in "the world"! It made it fun for us all!!!

:earsboy: You can't go to Disney and not see the MK. However, I was really surprised that Epcot was the park my son(7) and daughter(4) wanted to stay at the longest. We started our day before it opened at the Princess Storybook Breakfast and ended it when it closed with Illuminations. :sunny:

my daughter is now 6 and a 1/2---have been taking her to all parks since she was 2 and 1/2---she enjoys them all----each one for different reasons.

On every trip--we go to Epcot on our first day--and that is her decision!!

Do both! EPCOT is fun and educational. Nothing better than learning something new without even realizing it.

My kids are 7 and 10 and we spent 4 partial days of a 7 day trip at Epcot. They both loved Crush, Figment, and the Commander Cranium show. My 10 yr old son is a scientist so he really really loved Epcot.

(Psssst get a stroller) she can snooze in the warm :sunny: if she is not interested.

What are these charms to collect at each country?
Also how much are strollers and are they too small for a 6 year old?
thanks Diane

My DS5 (nearly 6) loves Epcot. It has been high on his "must do" list since he was 3! Like another poster, we always end up at Epcot the day we arrive because that is where he wants to go first and we always say "OK, why not?" :)

He seems to like nearly everything there. Test Track is one of his favorite rides, but so is Spaceship Earth. He likes the greenhouses at the Land and making a mask at the World Showcase countries. The dinosaurs at energy are "cool" and he is really going to miss Food Rocks now that it is gone, but hopefully Soarin' will make it up to him!
