Epcot Food & Wine- How "All That" Is it?

This is a must not miss event. There is to much cool stuff going on at this time at Epcot. Drinking and eating around the world. A much see and do if you are there

Not only is Epcot Food & Wine a great activity over multiple days, that time of year is also special party time at MK -- MNSSHP! This is a memorable Halloween show with all your favorite ghouls, villains, Jack Skellington and Sally, and great light & sound effects. The 7 Dwarfs make an appearance. A terrific themed parade (twice) and special Halloween fireworks. It's awesome. I think everyone agrees.

If you're doing the Disney Dining Plan, the snack credits you get can be used at Food & Wine to purchase most every small food plate and non-alcoholic drink.

We'll be there late Sept-early Oct, as usual...

I'm not a fan. It's kinda my biggest Disney shame lol!

I am the mom of a toddler. I eat a few bites of food over a trash can every night. I don't want to go to Disney World to do that. If I am getting a kid free night I want to sit down and eat my food hot with both hands in quiet with no one touching or crowding me & have a few full sized adult beverages. In climate control!!

Jaccceee please tell me where your found the filet mignon!! I'm on a low carb diet and can never find food I can eat....this looks wonderful!

It's to the right at Canada. There's always good eats in that area. At the Flower and Garden, nephew ate Tilapia seasoned with ghost pepper. I'm gluten free so I'm kinda on a unwanted low carb diet.

I don't think I am the right person to answer, as we make special trips just to go to F&W. We have never done a seminar or any special event, but we love to sample the food and drinks from the various countries.

This. F & W is ALL THAT. I'm going at Christmas this year and am practically inconsolable that I'll be missing it.

We had never gone due to the timing of our trips. However, our last trip, we happened to be there for the first day of F&W (which was actually on our last day in the parks). DD(13) and I opted to go to DHS that day because we were worried about the crowds and DD isn't the most adventurous with food. But DD(20) and her fiance decided to give F&W a try. That one afternoon/evening was the highlight of the week-long trip for them. In the pouring rain. In ponchos, with wet feet and soggy backpacks. They talked about it for weeks after we came home. Their smiling faces from the photos from that day say it all - it's worth it to go if you are there when it's going on.

I didn't do any of the seminars. I did book the special thing where you got a seating area and the CM's picked up your food for you and the Late Night thing one night. I can't remember what it was called but I enjoyed both of those.

I did really like going around and trying the different food and drinks. I'm looking foward to going again some time - maybe next year.

Well to be honest, its kind of hard to avoid! You don't have to schedule any specific events, but if you go to World SHowcase, you will HAVE to walk through it!

My college roommates and I scheduled a trip intentionally for the 2nd weekend of the F&W fest! It was Thursday-Tuesday, and we went to Epcot at least 3 (or even 4!) nights. We tried something at ALMOST every spot and even stopped by Cava del Tequila for some drinks AND had Le Cellier? I don't know how we did that cuz Cava and Le Cellier were on the same night.....wow.....

Really, the F&W festival has me turning my nose up at the F&W festivals out in the "real world", who wants to pay $250 to stand around eating at a festival in Atlanta like we do for WAAAAYYYY less than that at Epcot? I don't like wine (which would probably be the contributor to the high cost of some out here), but I had some great drinks (and even pineapple wine!) around the World Showcase....

Favorites are:
Filet Mignon in Canada
Cheese Bread in Brazil
Lobster Mac & Cheese in America
Bacon Pepper Hash at Farm Fresh
Singapore Sling
Cheddar Cheese soup in Canada
multiple shrimp dishes all over
Braised short ribs in France
Bratwurst in Germany

man....just looking at the new list, http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2015-epcot-food-and-wine-festival-booths-menus-and-food-photos/ , I wanna go again! Too bad my AP expires on the 25th, I'm squeezing one more trip in the week prior....

Epcot Food & Wine starts on Friday, Sept 25th. Your AP is good through the expiration date of the 25th. Couldn't you try for that first day of F&W -- and depart on the 26th?

F&W was the best time we've ever had at WDW and that is saying a lot because we went a week after I was smashed into by a front-end loader when I was driving down the street. Thanks to some super-duper drugs and a lot of rest and breaks and avoiding "thrill" rides we had a really nice trip. I'm still recovering from the accident and my biggest problem right now is my vision, dizziness and headaches. I am crossing my fingers my physical therapy is going to work so we can go back for F&W in November. If not, there is always next year.

no, because I would have to be there over the weekend to work with my work schedule....so I had to go Friday-Tuesday...and I would be out 4 days with no ticket.....that renewal is rough! (especially when you move out of Florida!)

Please get well soon and come back to F&W when you can. Good luck.

SPEEDY RECOVERY wishes;:grouphug: wow! HOPE that rehab goes well and you are able to do Nov.F&W!:wizard:

Just like to point out that the area in my earlier picture and this new one is a good place to eat. If I remember correctly,it is a U shaped nook between bathrooms and Canada. Not smelly close to bathrooms but, middle aged bladder/having young kids, close.
I left the family there then got food. Look at the empty table in the background. I don't know why, it was busy enough.wdwmick (640x480).jpg
