Hello,
We've been down many times before during the fall but have never attended the Food and Wine festival. I've been trying to do a Search on this, but it always says it's busy.
Where do you get the food and wine?
How is it set up?
Do the restaurants offer special fare during this event or is it out "on the street"?
Is this held every day or only at nights or only on weekends?

Any other info would be appreciated.
Thanks

Here's a link and what we have on the DIS about F&W.The menus are all listed on there too!

Celebrating its 11th year, the 2006 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is being billed as a "Triumph of Great Tastes." Your Epcot admission is all that’s needed to participate in this popular venue.

The Festival Welcome Center features a Champagne and Sparkling Wine Bar. Here you'll be able to purchase event souvenirs.

There are more than 20 marketplaces featuring food, wine and beer sampling. The appetizer sized portions range in price from $1.50 - $4.50 and provide the perfect opportunity to try the traditional cuisine from around the world.

This year Twinings Tea is celebrating it's 300th anniversary. Visitors will be able to take part in daily tastings.

This year's International Food and Wine Festival will play host to seminars, tasting events and sumptuous dinners overseen by top Disney Chefs as well as renowned guest Chefs.

Over the course of the Festival, there will be 1200 beer and wine seminars scheduled with complimentary samples.

The popular Party for the Senses, Food and Wine Pairings, Evenings at Epcot Dinners, Odyssey Cooking School, Lunch and Learn series, half -day Wine Schools as well as other anticipated dinners/events will be scheduled and open for booking on July 31 at 7:00am.

I am still starving for more info. Did they tell the line up details last year before you could book them?

The food is in booths and is avaiable every day during the festival. One thing I enjoy getting is the recipe book with many of the foods they make in the booths for less than $10. They also have a free nightly concert at the American Pavillion stage. Weekends have more events and get sold out quickly but there is lots to do if you are just wandering around and tasting.

I know there is an approximate $100 fee for the party. Can you tell me if park admission is required also, or can you just get into the party with the ticket, or whatever is provided as proof of entry to the party?

Thank you....I hope they come out with dining schedules soon so we can make reservations :)

I found a lot of information on allearsnet.com - I use the search button plug in food and wine, and then on the left click on 2006 for current info, click on 2005 and look at the photo gallery, the party of the senses great reviews, scroll to the bottom of the Oct 8 entry and I know there is a link to the photo gallery -

From what I've read so far for this year, tickets go on sale July 31... I havent seen any other information, and I check daily

But, if you just go to Epcot, and cruise around the World, there are extra booths set up - and you buy "tastes" of that country, and sample wines from that country. Austraila, and Spain had booths specific for wine flights (France has theirs indoors!) Lots of information, and if you are on the dining plan on the board that tells the menu there is a dp sign - you can use snack credits for the food there!!

Lots of wine pairings, lunch and learn etc that are $35 (or were last year) at the various restaraunts that were informative and FUN!! Party for the senses is around $100, and its an event, everyone dresses up for this - I think last year it was from 6:30 - 9 (doors opened at 6, but I dont think the food and wine rooms opened before 6:30 - I dont have a great memory however) I didnt see but maybe 4 children, a couple were the chefs children! Its just expensive - but really quality food samples, and wine tastings.

The Food and Wine Festival is one of my favorite things at Disney. They have the booths with food and wine from like 25 different countries all around the world showcase, the Eat to the Beat concerts are held 3 times nightly, there's food and wine tasting seminars and other cool events and functions!!!

We just happened to be there during this in the fall. We had a great time and enjoyed it. We did a wine tasting in Germany that was great. We loved getting all the foods at the booths! It was just fun.
