EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, Sept. 25 - Nov 16 2015

I might suggest printing that out and taking it with you.

That was kinda my thought as well. I figure by the time I go (November), there will be others who will have tried and either succeeded and/or failed ... I'll know whether to be happy or ask for a refund.

4 chits for kiosk items, actual value maximum $32 (assuming anything that costs more than $8 is excluded. Value could be much higher if there are no exclusions)
Bottle of wine, about $18 (based on value of last year's bottle which was selling in the Festival Center for $17.95)
Wine glass (one), value about $10
Magic band value $20 if it doesn't do sound effects at touch points or $30 if it does
One tote bag, possible value about $20
One deminar, $15
Subjective value regarding usage of M-Th premium seating areas in WS

Total either $95 or $105 based on the magic band.

That's the strict monetary value on what we have so far. As noted, the value of the 4 chits could skyrocket if the expensive beverage options are included.

It may be all down to how much you are willing to spend to have access to the premium areas. Or maybe there is something else they haven't mentioned yet. Because Disney doesn't usually have you pay $200 for $100 worth of stuff. IMHO the premium areas would only be worth that kind of $ if they were available on weekends.

I asked the CM on the phone if it listed chocolates in the goodie bag and she said it didn't and she re-read me what her screen said as being in the bag.
I think what I will miss the most is the 50.00 gift card. It didn't take me long to use it up last year.............

You got a cork screw?????? we had to get our cork out with a fingernail clipper, The front desk couldn't even help us.
Yes, we had one in each bag, so brought two of them home with us. Feast or famine, I guess, because there was also one in our DVC kitchen. What resort were you at that couldn't come up with a cork screw?

We were at POP and they did have really expensive ones and maybe they had sold out of the cheaper ones. I did later find one for $9 at Boardwalk but by that time it was too late. We were also there the first week so it must be something they corrected.

I just booked the premium event. she said it included a late night live party? I said are you sure? She said yes. I have no idea what I am getting lol.
Nice lol.. Someone like me who got the Late Night party speech. Did she also tell you it came with the dessert party. There are some that say it doesn't and some that say it does. I am happy to know I'm not the only crazy one to spend so much money and not have much of a clue exactly what we're buying.

.

She said it did not come with the desert party. I was on the phone with her over an hour and by the time it was all said and done I just wanted off the telephone lol (the real way Disney makes their money)

I am voting on NO Late Night Live Party. I think that would be out there if it was going to happen and I did have CM friend say "not happening" Apparently it was not profitable last year. (Remember it was original either a Tuesday or Thursday but due to the overwhelming lack of response Tuesday was cancelled!)

My CM friend did say the Desert Party was suppose to be in the Premium package but based on posts today I would be surprised if you get it.

I cannot believe the amount of people that are booking this not knowing what is included for sure. And what is also sad is that I am tempted to as well. :)

I book it because of the seating and food runners. My husband hates lines and last year this was a very good solution for us. Do I love spending the extra money? NO, but I do love that he is more agree-able and is willing to come back because of it.

I've been following, but I've gotten a little lost with everyone booking. Is the offer for like, 8 entitlements that's like $60, is that something I need to call and book? And does that come with everything else?

I just linked my premium package into my disney experience and it popped up saying:

Epcot Food & Wine Festival Premium Package
8:30 PM

Kind of makes me wonder if that package will have access to an Illuminations Fireworks area maybe. Interesting - very interesting............

Mine too. I wonder if it's the Illuminations Dessert Party.

My Premium says 8:30 too. This is so messed up. Guess we'll find out exactly what we're getting when we get reports back from people who have used it. We can count on the DIS more than on Disney for the true facts.

After experiencing an incident involving an emergency meeting of NATO in Brussels while there for an IEEE meeting, and having to open beer bottles on a train with the buckle on my travel bag, I never go anywhere without a bottle opener or a corkscrew Keep them in your suitcase. I just keep a swiss army knife that includes both in my suitcase--just make sure you check it. If you need to carry on, there is a device called a "two prong cork puller" that is suitable for transport as it is not pointy. It is also handy for recovering from a botched attempt using a corkscrew.

I refuse to book the Mystery Premium Package based on the sketchy he said, she said info currently floating around. For those who have booked the unknown I really hope it lives up to your expectations. Until Disney puts something out there in writing I'll be sitting on the sidelines. I could almost justify booking it based on the first reports early this morning but all the latest info makes it so not worth it to me.

Just called Disney Dining, 5 minute wait! Just booked Festival Discovery Sampler, 8 entitlements ANY food or beverage, 6:45 Priority Seating at Eat to the Beat Concert, and I hope that CM gave me correct information that you are given a VIP card which entitles you to go to "front of the line" on any booth!::yes::
$62.85 inclusive of tax. Also, a special Pin too! Initially, hesitant that we wouldn't use 16 entitlements for the day, but "what the heck"! CANNOT WAIT for FIRST F&W!:drinking1:dance3:
Surprise, surprise, given INCORRECT>:( information from the CM from Dining Services. Called a Dining Supervisor and explained that I asked twice on the call the definition of the VIP Credential Card and the CM INCORRECTLY stated that there was a VIP access at the booths as well as me asking three times if there were any exclusions and she said none. I come to find out from a supervisor that there will be some exclusions, but she didn't know what. Supervisor said entitlement can be used at 30 marketplaces on 150 menu items. Supervisor also said the "VIP credential card" simply means priority seating at the eat to the beat concert at 6:45. Here's my take...Just call it PRIORITY SEATING rather than VIP Credential Card then!:mad:Supervisor will be reviewing the phone call and getting back to me tomorrow.
