EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, Sept. 25 - Nov 16 2015

I asked about if the credits for the discovery sampler roll over & was told that they don't. Also asked if the CM knew what the exceptions were before I booked for 11/12. Hopefully more information comes out about the exceptions as time goes on.

I'm curious about this too, because I would be interested provided it could be used for anything. Also does anyone know if the credits roll over or not? For example if I use 6 one day, can I use the remaining 2 the next?
The CM that booked mine did tell me that they were only good for the 1 day that I booked the package

just got off the phone ... booked sampler package as the premium didn't seem worth it in my opinion (4 entitlements, illuminations dessert party AND culinary/beverage seminar ... premium package appears to be showing up to book now but as I decided not to go that route not 100% would be able to book it

Just called Disney Dining, 5 minute wait! Just booked Festival Discovery Sampler, 8 entitlements ANY food or beverage, 6:45 Priority Seating at Eat to the Beat Concert, and I hope that CM gave me correct information that you are given a VIP card which entitles you to go to "front of the line" on any booth!::yes::
$62.85 inclusive of tax. Also, a special Pin too! Initially, hesitant that we wouldn't use 16 entitlements for the day, but "what the heck"! CANNOT WAIT for FIRST F&W!:drinking1:dance3:

You have the ONLY CM so far who has reported this benefit so I expect it's not true. But if it is I will be at Guest Services pitching a FIT! I am sorry but that's going to far on this. If they want that then they need to just set up a special line for it at each booth but having people shove their way to the front is going to be UGLY!

POTS - general admission was available online this morning. Hope that's a good thing - anyone done it before? Hope everyone does get at least something you want - it's supposed to be a magical day!

Excuse me! Pardon me! Coming through! VIP pass THANK YOU:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Add in some booze and we could easily surpass this embarrassing moment

At Epcot, located at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, the Test Track attraction typically has a very calm line where people wait their turn to ride the popular attraction. While most guests at the theme park come with families and know that July means long lines, it appears that a few guests decided to get rowdy before getting on the attraction. According to KHOU on Monday, the recently released video shows several people throwing punches and using an umbrella to strike other guests while standing in line at Test Track.

Has anyone else asked when booking the Sampler Package if there are any exclusions and what they are? At 8 this morning the CM told me alcohol was included but did not know any exclusions. As been posted on here by me and others that the assumption on our part would be the Dom P and the beer flights might be excluded but has anyone asked and gotten better answer?

I asked about exclusions and was told that they have not specified what the exclusions are. The CM said there might be some for the most expensive beverage options.

Also, with the 2 CMs I spoke to, neither mentioned anything about a VIP or Front of the Line option for the Sampler package. I don't think that is an option, especially at that price.

Hmm the CM that booked mine didn't mention anything about this. Unless they're creating a separate line for package guests I don't see how this would work with the current booth setup.

I'm curious about this too, because I would be interested provided it could be used for anything. Also does anyone know if the credits roll over or not? For example if I use 6 one day, can I use the remaining 2 the next?
No it's per day. You have to use them all the same day.

Called in after 6:00am in CA and after a short wait finally got my French lunch on 10/23. So far I've only booked this and one culinary demo. Might add a mixology or beverage seminar if they strike my fancy later. It's my first F&W and I don't want to over schedule ourselves or burn out on events. Luckily I'm not interested in the Premium package and I'm not there for POTS. My budget is grateful!

If I'm not interested in the pin and the Eat to the Beat concert - is the sampler still a deal? I was thinking not, but I'm not sure on the pricier options at the booths.

I was just able to book the Premium Package for the first week of November. :tigger: Best of luck to others who are trying! Now I can get back to work, LOL.

So what's the latest on what the Premium package gets you...

I just called back to book Eat to the Beat dinner & lunch and asked about my premium package and she said it includes:

4 F&W booth entitlements
Either one Beverage seminar or one demo (I specifically asked about the dessert party and she said no it's definitely not included)
Goodie bag with wine, a glass and the magic band
access to the premium areas with wait service from noon - 8pm mon - thurs

I found it really odd that she told me that the demo or beverage seminar had to be booked on the day that the credentials are picked up...I would think that everything would be pretty well booked by then.

Quick answer is NO! To me the Eat to the Beat concert doesn't even figure in to the equation as for most of them you can get in fairly easy or just hang out any where near the theater & American Adventure Pavilion to hear the entire concert. I figure the value of the pin to be equal to a $10-13 range pin that you would buy elsewhere in the park and I was leaning toward the $10 myself since I think they way overprice the pins. So to break even you would need to use the entitlements on items that cost at least $6.50 and up and going by last years menu there were only a few food items in that range and then the fancy mixed drinks they had at some booths. Since you have to use all 8 in one day you need to do your homework to figure where to get the most bang for your buck. I'm holding off waiting to hear how the Premium Package shakes out once they figure out what they really are including.

I was told the same as Tink10. Premium Package includes four entitlements, goodie bag, choice of beverage or culinary demo, and reserved areas with wait service. $211.95 per person.

This sounds similar to the Premium Package for Star Wars Weekend. At the time we picked up our credentials, we chose which show we wanted for reserved seating. These same shows were open for months for FP+ & such, so I'm guessing they have a certain number of demo/seminar openings reserved just for those with the premium packages.

If you aren't interested in either of those I'm thinking it wouldn't be a good value for you--and might be more trouble than it's worth if you end up wanting to change your Epcot day or might not use all the entitlements in one day. The concert seating was what made it worth it for us--I wanted the seating but wanted to do the booths and not a TS restaurant. So we're paying probably a little more than we would have otherwise for that "perk".
