EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, Sept. 25 - Nov 16 2015

The goodie bags being delivered to EPCOT is very inconvenient if we cant send them to the front or,better yet, to our resort. We will be there the first full week so I guess we will be the guinea pigs. I will definitely report back how it goes.

they're not being delivered to the resorts because this year's package is not tied to a resort reservation. Result of the complaints last year that it wasn't available without a resort reservation.

I'm pretty sure they will not allow sending of wine out of the park, but I don't see any reason why it can't go to the package pickups at the front or International Gateway.

I think the problem is the entire "send your bag" to the exit for pick up depends upon you buying something, which you aren't doing. But I did think of one thing that MIGHT work.

If you plan to buy a Food and Wine T shirt/bag etc... Take your goodie bag over to the shop. Get your purchase ready and before you buy ask if they will put your goodie bag in the bag with your purchase to send to the front desk. I have had them add earlier purchases to a later purchase and ship it all together so this MIGHT just work. No guarantees! Heck if it works and you really didn't want Tshirt etc.. Just take it back to your hotel gift shop LOL!

I would find it strange that the goodie bag NOT be considered a PURCHASE since we all paid $199+ tax for the PP & the bag is part of the package? really? still not feeling the "PREMIUM" part of this package yet! how sad that Disney has not figured all this out yet...

UPDATE: i received a call today from CM Audra from "reservations" regarding the email i sent inquiring about my PP dessert party being on Sept 28 when there is NO party scheduled for that date. she confirmed that there is NO party on that date & said that i can probably (she wasn't sure & had to "ask a supervisor" who was not available when i was speaking to her on the phone) change my dessert party to the 29th. cool! waiting for her to get back to me to confirm the switch.

here's the NOT COOL part. when i asked about booking the seminar she said that the day that i've chosen for my dessert party SETS THE DATE for the seminar we will be attending. so in other words, i have no choice for the seminar once i've chosen my dessert party date. WHAT??? i told her that NO ONE has ever been told that when purchasing the PP. everyone has been told to call back to book their seminar OR disney will contact purchaser to book dessert party. i was furious because the 5pm seminar on Sept 29 is lamb. we don't eat lamb. how can i be required to attend a seminar where we don't eat what's being presented? what about people that are allergic to certain foods? is disney going to force them to attend a seminar that could kill them??? i told her that makes absolutely NO SENSE to not be able to choose the seminar you want. she did seem to understand my point (duh) but would have to speak to a manager to find the answers & get back to me. i even asked when this information about the dessert party AND seminar for the same day was released. she said it was ALWAYS that way for the premium package where i told her that was ABSOLUTELY NOT being disclosed to any PP purchasers. i again emphasized that these unanswered questions & unclear statements are not making this a "premium" experience for anyone!!!

still waiting to hear back from Audra. will post another update. i did also ask her to SEND ME AN EMAIL so i will have all of these things she's said to me in WRITING & she seemed extremely hesitant to do so. working with our time differential (6 hours), i told her that would be the best option but again, not willing. we'll see!

just keeping everyone in the loop about what's being said on the Disney side. which isn't much actually! :confused3

I doubt this will work because the send to the front of the park/resort option relies on there being an itemized receipt with everything in the package represented. There's not going to be a receipt for the PP bag, so I doubt Disney will assume the liability if the bag goes missing somewhere between the Festival Center and the front of the park holding area.

Does anyone have a map of Epcot that shows where the 11 Premium Package areas are located?

The locations on last year's credential.

I believe this year has 11 locations, as compared to 10 locations shown on 2014's map. The 11th location is on the main path between WS and Future World. "The Chew" (TV show) has the 11th location, from what I read. The locations indicated might not be exactly the same this year. I can't remember when I first saw the PP locations, but I don't think it was this early.

Has a map of where all of the Food Kiosks will be located around the World Showcase been released yet for this year?

We have carried bottles of wine out for many years. However, you may not carry out a glass of wine.

Last year during food and wine you were not permitted to take bottle with you when you purchased them that had to be sent to the front or rear of the park. It was only during food and wine festival.

I booked my Premium Package this morning for the week of September 27th and I was unable to book the seminar.

edit 1: Desert Party is only on the Monday of the chosen package week. Lame.

Somehow we have gone from staying one week to 10 days for F&W.

1st iteration of planning in December 2014: stay at BCV Sunday through Sunday
2nd iteration of planning in January 2015 (realized F&W was extended): BCV booked, so Garden Cottage at BW Friday/Sat and BCV Sunday through Sunday
3rd iteration of planning August 2015 (Delta changed our red eye flight and now we land on Thursday, not Friday am): Dolphin Thursday, Garden Cottage at BW Friday/Sat and BCV Sunday through Sunday

Now I'm crossing my fingers that I can find something we want to do Thursday night/Friday for F&W

EDITED TO ADD: Buddy Valastro sold out on 11/6. Still can't book deminar for premium package.

I'm probably the only who thinks the idea of the 2015 F&W MagicBand playing the sound effect of wine pouring into a glass when scanning a FP+ station is awesome.

Nope you're not the only one! We think it is ridiculously cool if it actually works. I have doubts about the IT department/tech on this one.

Yeah, you have to book the package for the day you want the party. We booked ours for a wednesday, but it is still good Monday to Thursday of that week for the VIP areas.
