Yes. I think we are suffering from severe brain damage here. I won't be too happy if PFTS goes up to $150pp though...ugh...$600 a night for dinner...shoot me now. This was sooo much cheaper just a few years back. I've already begun to toss 5's and 10's into the change jug to help out the ole Disney food fund. I just rationalize it by saying its not something we can do all the time...so what the heck. The kids are excited.

That is sooooo cool that you'll be getting in a trip for just you and Steve. I wish we could do that, but the kids wouldn't allow it, they'd stow away in our baggage and we'd probably be flagged by airport security for child smuggling.

Has anyone heard if they are still going to have Cirque' acts this year? On the official Disney Food & Wine website it just says, 'live acts' and doesn't mention Cirque'. I would be disappointed if it was something else.

If the past few years is any indication, I wouldn't be surprised to see Cirque eliminated entirely. It seems each year there is less and less to the entertainment. Cirque performers used to roam around during PFTS and entertain in addition to the performance itself. Now I'm anxious to hear what the deal will be for this year too.

The one thing you can always count on is that PFTS is held each Saturday evening during the F&W Fest. It's the easiet event to plan for in my opinion. So pick your Saturday and wait until the prices are released and the phone lines are open!

It's a bit harder for me, living here! I have to wait til the guides come out, figure out which wineries will be here which weeks, then figure out which wineries I want to see at PftS.

Last year it was "oh shoot, the wineries we want will be here TODAY so we're going TOMORROW to PftS"

If Cirque is ever eliminated, and prices raised to $150, I'd start to seriously reconsider doing the event.

I have heard from a friend that works for Disney that they might not have a PFTS the 1st Saturday of the F&W this year. That they are having a cooking competition instead.
We will have to wait and see I guess!

So, I have been lurking over here and finally decided to ask a few questions about special events. I went to F & W last year for the first time with a few friends and am returning with my "foodie" bfriend in October. Our six year anniversary is this August and I was considering getting us tickets to a special event for the trip. I know that PFTS is highly recommended, but why? What makes it so special? Also, what do you know about the other (less expensive) events? Would you recommend any in particular?

Any help would be great!
