***Epcot Food And Wine Festival Info 2008***

For the Eat to the Beat.

1.How far in advance do you have to get there?
2. Any time slot better, or have a shorter wait line 5:45, 7:15, 8:30 PM
3. I assume it is included in your park ticket. If not what does it cost and do you bring snacks from the kiosks with you if you want to eat?

Thanks
Steve

Just wanted to mention that the official site has the Eat to the Beat Concert times as...

Show Times: 5:15 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.

Eat to the Beat info on official WDW site

I'm not sure why the DIS has different info? :confused3 In my experience, the later shows are more crowded. The shows are free/included with admission. :goodvibes

How fast do the reservations for Party 4 The Senses sell out? I know all the other events fill up pretty quick.

Personally I never worry about booking PFTS right away unless I have a date I would just be crushed over not getting. The event has hundreds of people, so its normally the last thing I book. I don't recall any nights selling out (that I've heard about) in recent years, but I'm sure if there has been some, someone here will know.

Hey Steve...it depends on the band how early you should line up. The line will be to the right of the venue in back. Keep an eye on it. Last year for the Beach Boys - it was ridiculous. Other groups = no line at all. Weather is involved too. Yes....you can take whatever you want to eat/drink in with you. I'm not sure about time slots....my guess would be the earlier the better???? :confused3 Have a great time - it's soooooo much fun!:yay:

Pretty much. We usually know which ones we're doing after checking the festival guide the first night, so we book them then. We did sell one out ourselves back in 2004 I believe, we bought the last two tickets 3-4 hours before the PftS started, last minute decision.

We saw David Cassidy...the show was outstanding. He is a wonderful entertainer. Definately worth seeing, skip soarin.

Absolutely agree! Not that it didn't hurt that I used to have a tiny crush on the Partridge Family David Cassidy (and I'm only 26! )

We're also happy that one of our "local" bands, Sister Hazel, will be there this year - though a little odd since they're a 90's band.

I can't say I'm too enthused about any of the performers this year, or last year for that matter.

For years it seemed like Three Dog Night performed and I was so looking forward to finally seeing them last year and then they weren't part of the line-up. Waaaaaaah!!!

Oh well, we'd rather be eating and drinking ... :lmao:

Edit: darn! I just checked the schedule again and I see that Sister Hazel won't be there now :(

Uh Oh! Where did you see this?! We were planning on seeing them!

I am a little disappointed in this year's lineup too, Brenda! Our whole family saw Three Dog Night 2 years ago and it was a terrific concert. I have to say that my DDs saw a different side of their Mom that night! :rotfl:

I was hoping for the Beach Boys for opening weekend, but no... Unfortunately Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Sheena Easton don't do a lot for me. I imagine my DH will enjoy Ms. Easton more than I will.

I also would have loved Spyro Gyra or David Sanborn too!

:confused3 They are still on the WDW site.

I'll pass on Sheena, but I really like BBVD. Saw them about a month ago, and their current show is terrific. They're playing favorites, as well as some really great stuff from their new CD that's coming out in Feb.

Thanks for the insight... I went to their website and I might be interested after all!

Greetings Everyone: I found out I may be able to attend a conference at the Contemporary Resort Sept 24-26. I thought maybe I would have my wife come down on the 26th, and we could have an adult weekend and take in the Food and Wine Festival. I just found this thread, and I'm a little concerned about the crowds that first weekend. Hopefully it will work out that we can go, and have a good time.
