So who else is excited about flower and garden festival?! :flower1:

The menus came out and I must say some of the kiosks looked really interesting.
The cider house is new- the beer/cider offerings look great
Barbeque and brews- I could also eat here for days.
Pineapple promenades trying to figure out how to convince the kids its a "dessert" dog
The grouper and fish tacos looked solid to try as well.
And let's not forget some pretty choice offerings from Morocco.

Are you going? What looks good to you? What have you tried?

Forgive me if this should have been in restaurants, I wasn't sure where kiosks belonged.

We're going. We were there last year for the first time at any of the special festivals. My DD loved it so much that she requested it as a must do this year. So we will happily munch our way around WS. I must say I think there is more alcohol that I want to try than food. I think I'm going to have to check the menus again and pick only 1 or 2 drinks to try out.

We did the F&G last year. Enjoyed it so much, that we're returning this year in April. Highly enjoyed the ice pop last year and happy that its back this year.

We are going at the end of May. We didn't realize until a few days ago that the F&G would still be going on so we are very excited about that. Plus I never knew they had food booths just like F&W so I'm really excited about that since dining is my favorite thing to do on vacation. I'm already building my scorecard of things I need to eat and drink :)

Yes! Many of the drinks look tempting

We enjoyed the booths unexpectedly March 2014. Great brews and snacks, but its gotten even bigger this year.

They had me at flower and garden. The food booths sent me over the moon!

Tell me about this. I'm pretty sure we've been during this time period before, but didn't know about F&G. We noticed lots of neat shrubbery & flower arrangements, but just thought that was normal for Disney. lol. What should we look for? We'll be there in 12 days.

I'm very excited to go again this year! We were at the F&G for the first time last year, and while we didn't eat/drink as much as we have at the Food and Wine Festival, we had a great time and are looking forward to trying more this May.
We went through the menu last night and circled our must do's.
The Smokehouse: the burnt ends dish, ribs, and the frozen lemonade with blackberry moonshine
Fleur De Lys: the duck confit dish and La Vie en Rose slush, maybe a Kir Imperial ( I "may" have had a few of these last year *cough* :drinking1)
Cider House: Lemon scone (I'm gluten free, so especially excited for this)
Florida Fresh: Shrimp and grits dish, watermelon-cucumber slush with gin
La Isla Fresca: jerk grouper dish
Urban Farm Eats: Urban Mary

I'm open to more suggestions!

On wdwmagic they have a run down on where the kiosks are and what menu. I think I remember the kiosks being fairly noticeable.

I seem to remember the logo on the menus last year, but we don't do dining plan so I can't say for sure.

Me and my friend will be there! I love the Flower and Garden Festival. Everything is so beautiful and bright.
Lots of Flower's, topiaries, special gardens and displays to see. Especially the food kiosks around World Showcase!

I go almost every year the past 6 years. I like to be there for my birthday. :)

Going to the World for my birthday March 11th. We will be there March 8-14. Going to Epcot 2 full days the 8th and 13.
We only have early lunch ressies planned those days so we can eat around the kiosks for our evening's.
We're going over the menu's this weekend and pick some must do's

MOST food items at the kiosks can be purchased with your SNACK credits!
If you are on the Dining plan save up your snack credits to use at the food booths. Such a great way to use those snack credits.
Quick Service and Regular dining plan have 1 snack per person/per night of your trip.
Deluxe dining plan gets 2 snack credits per night of your trip
Using snack credits at the Epcot Flower & Garden kiosks and the Epcot Food & Wine in the fall is a great way to get the most for your money.

I'm super excited about the Outdoor Kitchens during the festival. I consider myself a Disney vet, but have never been during the Flower and Garden Festival. After seeing the menus, it sounds like a mini version of the Food and Wine Festival. I'm going to come hungry and thirsty! Can't wait to try the burnt ends hash and the jerk grouper. Plus, it adds more beer choices!

I haven't been to the F&G for 10 years!!! So I am very excited, heck, right now, I'm just excited about the thought of sunshine...last year when we were down in February, I was so excited about the sun that I opted to sit out of rides just to wait on a bench and bask in the sun. It's been a wacky winter here, too warm on Christmas, record snow falls a couple weeks ago and last night, massive thunderstorm with a Tornado warning/watch...Maryland...smh.

Thanks so much for the info. The only day we can go will be 5/27 and that is also our 15 Year Anniversary. I had reservations for the Boathouse for dinner but I am going to talk to my hubby and see if he is okay with cancelling those and eating around the world. I appreciate it.

We are going in mid-May and have a whole day planned in WS to do the outdoor kitchens and explore each country more thoroughly. DH and I are most excited about Fleur de Lys and La Isla Fresca (we want to try practically everything at each of those). He's also pretty excited about the pineapple chutney hot dog and I want to try SO MANY SLUSHES (even non-alcoholic ones).

We've done F&W three times but never F&G so I'm super excited to go this year! We didn't even plan our trip around it- it was just coincidence. We love snacking around the world at F&W, and plan to do that again. The garden stuff will just be an added bonus. I also love lists and checking things off, so I'm glad they have a passport like the one at F&W. It makes a great addition to my scrapbook.

Check here: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/epcot/epcot-international-flower-and-garden-festival/

There's info about the menus, concerts, demos, and where everything is located. You can download the passport ahead of time.

Things on our list to try:

La Isla Fresca: chicken w/mango salsa (DS & I) and Jamaican beef w/rice (DH)
Bauermarkt: chicken w/asparagus, peas, & rice (DH)
Cider House: salad w/apple/ blueberries, & cheese (me) and lemon scone w/mixed berries (all)
Urban Farm Eat: watermelon salad w/onion, arugula, & feta (me) and pork tenderloin w/mushroom, veggies & potatoes (DH & DS, except they'll give me mushrooms)

Jardin de Fiestas: tempura shrimp taco w/onion & habanero (DS & I)
Lotus House: beef bun (DH & DS), veggie spring roll (DH & I), candied strawberries (all), and peach bubble tea (me)

Can you tell I've put a lot of thought into this? Our family really enjoys eating, so I don't want to miss anything!

Plus, it adds more beer choices!

A big plus for our group as well! Although I will miss the Oberon they had a few years back in America. Luckily for us they'll have it at the ESPN wwos for the Tigers game the 20th.

It is kind of like a mini F & W....with the addition of all the beautiful Flowers etc to look at. If you like F & W, you will enjoy F & G.

You are so welcome! It's definately something not to miss, especially if you haven't been there before for Flower and Garden. Enjoy and Happy Anniversary!

Will the passports be available at the show as well? I'm tempted to print out here just so I can go over everything, but would love a nice copy to carry with me while I'm there. (Ps- I can't wait !!!! --looks so fun! )
