Hello all. I am in the process of planning my summer vacation and was wondering if it is possible to make reservations at Rose and Crown in Epcot that have a view of the fireworks? Are there other dinner/viewing options at Epcot?

I wanted to do the same thing last Sept and could not get a ressie at Rose and Crown at the time for Illuminations. I ended up watching them from Nine Dragons, which was nice. Not a perfect view but nicer than any I remember from outside (though I did have to request a window seat). I have also heard some people eat somewhere in France and if you get a window seat it is a great view too.

France's window seats are not that good. Chefs downstairs, will have people standing in between the restaurant and the view. Bistro, upstairs, has a better view but there are only a couple of narrow windows and trees block some of them. In all of the times we have dined at Bistro, we have only had a decent view one time.

La Hacienda in Mexico probably has the next best viewing after Rose & Crown.

Rose and Crown is indeed a great place to watch the show. Mind you not all tables there have a great view. The ones nearer the lake have a magnificent view if you can get one of those. I am not sure if you can request it or not. I got lucky on a corporate outing and we sat nearest the lake. Good luck! Hope you get a prime spot!

Last summer we made reservations for 7:45 and got a really nice table outside, close to the building. Our server gave us the option of remaining at the table or taking us down to a patio area to stand...we did a little of both and it was awesome!

There have been mixed reports about whether you can request and wait for a table on the patio with a view of IllumiNations, so I would not count on it. If you are lucky enough to get a table on the patio with a view (not all patio tables have great views), then it's a great place to see IllumiNations. If you are seated where you cannot see the show, then the reserved viewing area for R&C patrons has a great view.

I've read the La Hacienda is probably next best place, but a number of the tables do not have a view of IllumiNations and they do not have a reserved viewing area like R&C.

Illuminations restaurant viewing
. . . Rose & Crown - Excellent Patio View
. . . La Hacienda - Excellent Window View
. . . Tokyo Dining - Good Window or Patio View *
. . . Chef de France - Good Window View *
. . . Bistro de Paris - Good Window View *
. . . Liberty Inn - Obstructed Patio View

* Limited quantity of window seats available.

NOTE:
Seating for restaurants with Illuminations views are highly prized.
In most cases, you will not get a seat at a window.
You may ask for a window seat at the podium.
But must take ANY seat when your ADR is ready.
If you refuse the alternate seating, your ADR is usually cancelled.
In the past people would make an ADR and then not eat if no window seat.
This left a lot of open seats in prime meal times.

Can you elaborate a bit on the Tokyo Dining? I have noticed that patio outside the restaurant. Are you able to go outside and watch Illuminations from the patio or must you stay at your table? Honestly, we have seen illuminations so many times it truly doesn't matter but we are always looking for great new experiences. Tokyo Dining is a restaurant I have never eaten at before and wold love to try. Seeing illuminations from there would just be icing on the cake.:goodvibes
