Any reports on this year's edition yet? I am going this upcoming weekend and can't wait!

:Pinkbounc Bump! Can't wait to read about the parties this year. We went on Oct 28th last year and it was the most amazing experience we've ever had at WDW. We are hoping to return next year for F&W and PFTS

I would have loved to go this trip, but with DS7 we just didn't think it would work. So I've been planning on living vicariously through some of you. Can't wait to see the pictures.

DD (7) is going to the sandcastle club so we can enjoy the party, would a kids club work for you? DD was begging to go for a night, so we figured we could endure a night without her. :rotfl2:

In the past ( and haven't heard if they are still doing it this way), each POS was different - different food, different chefs, etc. The ony constants were the Cheese table and Cirque.

We ususally do two when we go and that's what we've found.

I did mention it to DH, but he was not keen at all :confused3 We do leave DS in kids club at GF when we go to V&A. His concern was not being on site. But hey, this is the guy that wont let anyone babysit DS either!! Even my Mom isn't suitable apparently!!

Hope you have a great night budbeerlady.

We'll be there kid-less this weekend too...leaving the kids home with Mimi and Grandpa. :)

When I made the reservation the CM had a bit of an accent, so he was hard to understand. When he was reading the info back to me I got the confirmation number ok, but when he said there was a dress code for PFTS, I only caught about 1/2 of it. Does anyone remember hearing this?

What time is everyone planning on checking in, and are you going to the show too? We're still undecided, none of the performers are favorites, we just chose this weekend because its a FL Gator off-weekend. (well, the past 2 have been OFF too! LOL)

Dress is resort casual - no t shirts, tank tops, shorts (although I have seen some dressy short outfits over the years), tennis shoes, etc.

Wow, no shorts? That's going to be a tough one for Dh, it's still in the 80's here! I had figured on golf attire for him, so he'll have a collared shirt. Guess I'll have to pack some pants too. I had figured capris and a button down blouse for me, thats always a safe bet.

We attended the first weekend. It was fabulous!
Well worth the money, even at the inflated prices.

We live in Oregon and my husband was actually considering doing a weekend trip to attend another! I told him we could wait until next year.

People complained last year about others hogging the cocktail tables and not having a place to eat, but we didn't have that problem.
We were always able to find a spot to stop. Maybe since it was the first weekend it wasn't as crowded?

Have fun.

We'll be there this weekend and my DS7 will be at the Sandcastle Club too. Really looking forward to this.:goodvibes

Since you guys are Gator fans, you should also note that jean shorts are definitely frowned upon at PFTS. Sorry couldn't resist!

I'll be there on Oct 20 and Oct 27 and I'll be wearing shorts like I do every year...we were not told no shorts when we booked...just the usual business casual stuff like the signature restaurants. I wouldn't worry about this.

Good thing, he doesn't own any jean shorts anyway. :)

He decided to wear dress trousers...said if he's paying $$$ for a tix, then he expects to dress up. If it was just theme park entry, then shorts and a T would suffice.

We went to the 10/6 PFTS. It was my first time, and it was amazing! I met a group of DISers outside the event, and we sat together and took turns going for food and drinks, so we had no table problem. The food was incredible:) . I tried some interesting wines I've never had before ( Bunratty Honey Meade ), and tried the Utopia beer ( I was told it sells for 100.00 a bottle!!!! ). I saw a little bit of everything as far as the way people were dressed: park clothes, resort wear, cocktail dresses and heels. I'm already planning on attending next year :)

If you don't mind me asking: What did you think of the Utopia beer? What did it taste like. We saw it for sale at the Festival Welcome Center.

I've had this at the PFTS for several years now (although last year they ran out) - tastes more like a brandy than a beer due to the 26% or so alcohol content...and has hints of maple in both aroma and taste I thought...interesting but not something I would spend $100 on (and I'm a guy who buys lots of expensive and exotic brews).

Thanks!!

My DH was interested in trying this because he gets the Sam Adams Newsletter and he had read about it.

If they have it when we go we will give it a try.
