EPCOT - Extended Evening Hours - busier during day?

We are going to Epcot middle of November and I see that Epcot will be having Extended Evening Hours that night. We are not staying on-site and therefore won't be able to take advantage. What I am wondering about is how much Extended Evening Hours will affect our Epcot day. Are the parks typically much busier during the day when there are Extended Evening Hours? Will we still be able to shop/visit the shops on our way out of the park after 9pm? Will we still be able to ride an attraction if we are in a line up at 8:59? Thanks for any insight/suggestions!
