Robyn,
I agree with you, I think the value of the Walt with Figment pin is not comparable with any of the other Walt with...pins that are event "gifts". I like the Walt with from the MGM event LE 1000, howerver I can't trade my Walt with Figment for it. and ;the Figment head that they are sending is cute, but is it really cute enough to use for trade for another LE 1200 pin? I don't think anyone who didn't attend the event will want it unless they have the other pins from the maps that weekend.
So the pins they gave were a nice gesture, but as for tradeability they don't mean much.
Although I still haven't received my pins so I really can't talk about them yet.
The one thing Disney has to realize is they can't continue to expect the income that the pins are producing if they continue to treat us like 2nd class citizens. Let's face it, if they had the event at the Pop Century parking lot we would have all still attended and spent our money like we did in September. but we have to let them know that pushing us aside and booking the World Pavillion to someone else was wrong and we won't stand for it again. I know I have cut back alot and will continue to cut back on pins.
Not sure if it is the treatment Disney has given me or the fiasco's and childish behavior of some traders, but pins have taken a back seat on my trips to WDW. I go now to enjoy the parks and the resorts and if they have some pins I like I will get them. Peggie
