Epcot Evening EMH

Hi, I'm going next week with DW and DS8.
Have a Park Hopper 6 day pass and will be going to Universal one day.

The day we go to Universal Studios is a EMH evening at Epcot. I'm considering going alone to Epcot after dinner that day (DW and DS8 have to sleep early), wich means I need an extra ticket for that day.
If I upgrade to a 7 day pass it will be an "extra" $9 plus tax.

My question is, will it be worth it? or does it get to crowded even in September?
I don't want to throw away that extra day if i'm just going to be in the park for ten minutes before I realize that lines are very long.......

Any thoughts?

typically September isn't a crowded month so I think EMH nights would be worth $9 plus tax. You could grab a fastpass and still do at least 2/3 rides minimal.
